My hubby and I chose this guesthouse because it was a little way out of the city. I use an electric wheelchair and Arthur, the owner, put us in a 5 bed room so I had easy access to get my wheelchair in and out of doors. Breakfast was lovely loads of fruit, yogurt, full English, cereal and toast, tea or... More

Myself and my wife went to York for a Fri night as we had an early morning appointment (8:30) on Sat. When we arrived I parked my car in the limited on site parking in the only available space due to an awkwardly parked car that was already there ( which turned out to be the owners). We then went... There was 26 of us in total staying here for a friends hen weekend. We all stayed in a variety of rooms. I stayed in the attic with 5 other friends, the room was clean tidy and the bathroom had a bath as well as a separate shower. There were plenty of toiletries and numerous toilet rolls and also towels... More

We booked this accommodation last minute in order to stay over for the night in York on a visit to collect our new car. We are so glad we did! from the minute we got there it was clear that the owner (Arthur) was going to look after us. He booked us a taxi to take us straight into town... More

Just a 15 min walk down the river makes this an excellent location, the hosts were welcoming and the breakfast offered a really good choice including fresh fruit. The beds were really comfortable and there were good supplies of tea/coffee in the room as well as complimentary toiletries.

The owner could do with a few lessons on people skills, I would definitely pay extra to go elsewhere if I were to visit the area again. Not a warm welcome at all. Made our trip to York a very disappointing one. £70 for a night in a tired and dated room, and a bathroom that needed a deep clean... More

I had no idea where were staying until the night before we came as the b&b was booked by friends of my husband . On checking the hotel out on here I wasn't expecting much . We arrived early as we had to be at York races for 1pm ,we had a total of ten rooms booked and the owner... More

Stayed for the night recently in room 7 twin room..the decor was very dated mid 80s at a guess..clean but dated. Plenty of choice at breakfast fruit, yoghurt, cereal etc which is a good thing because the breakfast was on the small side the sausage being the highlight as the rest was under par...had a problem getting out of the car park...
