Stayed here for 1 night in a double room with a view of the Minster and gardens. The room was lovely (if a little bit warm, we got a fan delivered from reception which helped). The bathroom was very modern and the shower was excellent. A nice touch that you get a 20% discount in the outdoor Tipi area which is currently in the grounds of the hotel.

This is my first trip after the lockdown and I choose this hotel due to its location, which is attached to the train station and walking distance to most of the attractions. The hotel applied some COVID-19 measurements, such as hand sanitizer when u enter the hotel, one way route for check in and if u want to do breakfast, you will need to register ur self with the receptionist, same goes with dinner. The room is quite spacious, including the bathroom with basic toiletries. They dont give water bottles though. Plus, the hotel it self is beautiful!!! Definitely a hotel that I will recommend and visit again in the future.

We are still at the hotel but what a fantastic place to stay rooms are lovely, but what I would like to say is the young man Matthew and his colleague on reception where absolutely credit to the hotel , while a was waiting to check there was a bit of a snotty couple saying that would not of traveled to the hotel if they could only have a standard room which they had booked!! , Matthew was very polite and told them that hotel was full and there wasn’t any upgrade available he showed them the room they had booked but was always very polite at every moment to the couple, credit to you young man for the way you dealt this arrogant couple

Thanks to the staff at this wonderful hotel. We could not have been made any more welcome. Friendly, professional and attention to detail was more than we expected. We hope to be back again soon. Whether in the public areas, bar, restaurant or leisure facilities we were looked after and felt safe and secure at all times knowing that all precautions to keep guests and staff safe were over and above requirements.

The rooms have on air con so was very warm. When i booked this room on line i booked a room with a view. It did have a view but the room was small and the bathroom was tiny i struggled with the space on the toilet. They use the same bathroom photo for every room in the hotel including the Suites. I am sure the standard bathroom looks nothing like a suite bathroom. So be aware when booking if you want space don't book a room with a view For nearly £200 per night i was expecting a bigger room then we got. Oh this is the kicker. I phoned and asked if they have parking upon the nice lady on the phone replied yes we do have parking on site. What she failed to mention that its £15 per night and they add it to your bill. The chap who was running the bar on Saturday 25th was very accommodating. Very polite and is a credit to your company. We arrived to find the gardens have been taken over by a company who turned it into a summer beer garden. If was like being at a festival. This was fantastic and also you got 20% off because your were staying at the hotel.

Room Tip: The Rooms with a view have the smallest bathrooms. For the extra money i would book a suite.
