This is our second stay at Ascot House because we liked it so much. The house is beautiful, really well maintained and so welcoming. The Christmas decorations are really traditional and made us feel festive. The staff are excellent. Fabulous bed. Amazing shower. Will definitely stay again. Oh and the breakfast excellent too.

We telephoned this hotel and the gentleman who answered was very polite. We arrived late in the day in York and looked on the internet and liked the look of this hotel so made a phone call and got the last room available for that night, a twin ground floor. The room was very clean and nice bed covers, the... More

We had 2 relaxing days stay at Ascot Lodge owners are friendly obliglng and their knowledge of York is endless. The bed & breakfast is clean the breakfasts are good and you're only 20 minutes stroll into the centre. No one seems to have mentioned in previous reviews but the decor is very dated almost 1980s. This is the only... More

Lovely bed & breakfast, very helpful owners and staff. Great choice for breakfast with different daily specials. Ground floor bedroom was a bit small but lovely new bathroom. The property is very handily placed for York centre - 10 to 15 mins walk or buses every 20 mins and the bus stop is just past the corner of Ascot House.
