The friendly hostess's warm welcome and homely attitude set the scene for one of the best stays on our extended trip. The rooms are well appointed and the breakfast hearty. Overall, Elliotts is a very comfortable and well located property which provided excellent value for money. Mind you, being in the magnificent city of York is a great advantage too.

fantastic location, a very convenient short walk to the centre of York, extremely well appointed and airy room, great breakfast served by very welcoming and friendly staff. Very welcoming hosts Phil and Maureen made our one night stay one of the best B&B's in the UK. Will definitely recommend and return when we head up to York again.

We arrived in York on a busy weekend with no where to stay. Fortunately we lucked upon Elliotts. The B&B was full but we were offered a self-contained unit attached to Elliotts B&B (Appletree Cottage). What a comfortable and enjoyable stay we had. This B&B is a close walk to York city. We could not have asked for more in...

Within walking distance to the city center and the train station, Elliotts has nice beds, big rooms, and good breakfast. We had a nice welcome with help on how to get to and from the hotel and the city center. Rooms were large, bright, and airy, with decor that was better than most hotels I've stayed at. Bed seemed like...

5 pound+ charge by taxi from station, a cheery welcome and help with my bag to the 3rd/top floor and it looked good. The room was clean and nicely decorated- bathroom ok. Towels but no face washer. Fan in the wall was noisy. The bed was very comfortable. A fridge would have been good but the tea/coffee facilities were fine....

My daughter and I live at opposite ends of the country and decided to meet up in York for a weekend together. I have stayed in York before, but it was my daughters first time. This hotel was by far the best place that I have stayed. The twin room was large and very comfortable. The beds especially were very...
