My daughter and I stated for two nights on a glorious sunny weekend. The hotel was great, room really nice and staff all pleasant and helpful. The lovely beer garden was an added bonus . Very hearty breakfast as well . Definitely will return in the future .

Great hotel, very central to all we needed. Highlight was the beer garden. On a hot summer evening my husband and I sat for hours enjoying dinner and drinks - lovely. It was extremely busy but Wayne - the man overseeing the whole show was brilliant. Professional, funny. Didn’t miss a trick. It was like a stage show. Worth going just for him and his antics 🤣 and his expertise on handling staff and clients.

Booked in for drinks in the sun. Great space and great app to order drinks. Inside is stunning I’ll definitely come weekend and stay. We had Prosecco followed by wine. Lovely staff. We were running late but we called ahead and they kept our table for us

Awesome! Absolutely fabulous to see the grounds of this gorgeous hotel come to life. The concept, how you order, the service = EXCELLENT! We had such a fabulous bank holiday afternoon sat in the sunshine, the pizza’s were delicious and arrived really quickly. All the staff were so friendly and welcoming, we will be back again soon.

We have stayed here before and been happy with the rooms , however, we booked through booking.com on this occassion. The room we booked was a supposedly superior room. It didn't live up to its name. Ok, we should have read the description more thoroughly, particularly where it said lower ground floor . There were odours from the kitchen as you walked along the corridor. The room itself felt more like a dungeon and lighting was minimal. I accept that we have been in lock down, but maintenance could have been done whilst the hotel was closed. The wall paper above the bed was peeling along the edge as well as on some of the corners. The wardrobe had seen better days and the edging appeared to be chipped. When my went to reception, the person she spoke to was not very helpful. Not sure if we will stay here again on future visits to York
