Have repeatedly stayed over several years, always a warm friendly welcome, great hospitality and excellent breakfasts with beautiful home made breads. Beautiful walks in the surrounding countryside and surrounding villages plus York only a few miles away, thoroughly recommended.

I booked a last minute break to escape city life for a night and have some me-time in the countryside. Although only for one night, I feel my stay recharged my batteries and gave me some much-needed peace. Meg was so lovely and welcoming and the room was just beautiful: huge for just one person, and well-equipped. It looked out...

---- to opt for the coldest time in January to take a weekend break!! Turned out to be a good decision as the warm welcome we received from Meg and Francis cancelled out any doubts. Our clean and comfortable ground floor accommodation, with its own access, was ideal for our needs and would be ideal for a family, having a...

We booked this B&B because we thought it was right next to downtown York! (Bad research on our part). Unfortunately, we were in for lots and lots of driving to get here. That's the only downside. On the upside, it's an absolutely beautiful, charming, CLEAN place. My family was all very impressed with the room. The owner was super friendly,...

A fabulous place to stay. Went with my mum and were welcomed from arriving. We had a lovely time. The breakfasts were first class, all sourced from local products. Nothing was too much trouble and we were made very comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

What a great place to stay the secondary is second to none, the owners Francis and Meg were very friendly and the breakfast was beautiful as well as the home that was cosy and comfartable. It is close to many lovely villages in the yorkshire wolds so makes it an ideal secluded retreat. Will definitely be returning soon

A fantastic farm in the countryside. Perfect for a relaxing break with the family, just a short drive from York. Very nice and friendly staff. Definitely try the home made bread for breakfast. Would stay there again.

Visiting York for a family wedding, High Belthorpe provided a great welcome and an alternative to the city centre. The accommodation worked well for us with generous size rooms, excellent breakfasts with eggs straight from the chicken (across the yard) and an opportunity to explore the working livery stable and surrounding farmland with clear walking tracks which were all great...

Have just spent 3 months at this delightful B&B. Meg and Francis are great, friendly and accommodating hosts, both of whom love to cook so the food is first class. The setting is stunning and so peaceful - the rooms are comfortable, clean and serviced daily. Whether you are stopping just one night or longer I can recommend this idyllic...
