The room was upstairs with a view from the back of the house. The bathroom was small but it appears to be the norm for most B & B's in the UK. Breakfast was quite substantial although if you wanted variation you needed to inform the caretaker the night before. The bed was comfortable. the only downside was its proximity...

We visited York for the Christmas markets. We had 1 night at Crossways. The check in time was very flexible. We were greeted by Ola,who was lovely. Our room was cosy and comfortable, with a nice en suite shower room and good tea/coffee facilities with a great selection of flavoured teas, coffee, hot chocolate as well as biscuits and bottled...

My friend and I stayed at this guest house for a 3 day break. It was conveniently situated close to,the town and to access routes for the surrounding area. It was warm, clean and comfortable; the staff were friendly and efficient, the full English breakfast was very nice. We especially liked this hotel as it is traditional and not all...

Visited York and stayed at Crossways during the October half term for 2 days. When booking any guesthouse I always go for somewhere with parking and this was a criteria for Crossways. Only once I had made the booking was their an email which said that parking was not free and charged at £5 per night!! This should be made...

Stayed here for a couple of nights as part of a mini honeymoon. Only a 10 - 15 minute walk from the centre which is ideal for getting away from the bustle. Breakfast was delicious with a good array of choices for the smaller and larger appetites. Room was very cosy and clean. Nice and warm with adequate storage. My...

Thank you for your review, Although, the house is manned through the night. However it does not mean that there is someone available 24/7 as we are not a hotel. Kind Regards, Crossways.

This guest house is clean and comfortable with very nice staff. I can't fault the room, it had a very comfortable bed. The only reason I marked it down was due to restricted checking in times and very small dining room. I believe 8pm is too early close check inn.

Had a fabulous 3 night stay in the twin room. A cosy room with everything you could need for a comfortable place to rest after roaming around York. Lovely shower and big fluffy fresh towels, beds very comfortable, kettle with tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was delicious and a good set up for lots of walking and exploring York...

I stayed here last weekend for two nights as I was visiting my student daughter. I had room 7 which is the king size room and it was lovely. The room was spotless, the bed was so comfy, and the bathroom was a good size. Only had breakfast on one morning as I was taking my daughter out for breakfast...
