We always like this place as a great coffee and cake stop, really comfortable and friendly, but new in, a 3 piece folk band evening with a simple (but good) dinner course for a tenner. What an enjoyable evening. An experiment I gather, which was really successful. It's a great place to go and coffee/cake or have a light meal,... More

Stayed here, for the 2nd time & found it to be just as perfect as last year! A la carte breakfast, couldn't be better, from full English with malted toast & consistently perfect fried eggs to porridge served with a pot of syrup & a pot of cream! Everything looks great, tastes great & arrives piping hot at your table.... More

This beautiful, characterful bed and breakfast is more than just a standard b & b. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. The room was clean, warm and comfortable. The location couldn't be in a better place right in the centre of the old town with its historic alleys and streets. The accomodation has a popular cafe and restaurant that... More

I've just spent two nights at this lovely B&B in the 'old town' area of Whitby. Great location for the Harbour, Abbey and pubs etc. Good sized and well furnished room. Friendly staff and the best 'Full English'. Will definitely return.

What a spacious and lovely family room. Jades Attic was the name of the family room. It had a lovely double bed ( beyond a quaint beam bedecked with fairy lights), a little seating area with TV, then a step through to a couple of fold out beds that were just right for our children (ages 8 & 13). The... More

We have just returned from a 2 night stay in room 1 and will definitely be returning. We visit Whitby every year and have stayed in various b&bs and hotels without our dogs that have been lovely. We chose Sanders Yard as it is dog friendly. The room itself is large and decorated with some nice coastal touches such as... More

We spent a night here in May for my finances birthday. A lovely place where you could come and go as you pleased right in the heart of beautiful Whitby. Breakfast had a wide range of choice allowing you to have more than one things if wanted. I had the porridge with cream and syrup which was a great way... More

Really nice place - attached to a cafe/restaurant. Really good breakfast - you can order anything off their a la carte breakfast menu. It's not a buffet/help-yourself breakfast, and if they're busy the wait for the food to come can be a while.....but it's well worth the wait! Excellent food, plenty of it, and they're always happy to refill drinks,... More
