Simply superb. Seaview Guest house is an art deco establishment with a wealth of very interesting decor to be amazed by. Our room, on the upper floor, had a view of the harbour and also the famous Whitby Abbey, shrouded in mist. A pair of binoculars were provided to make the best of this view. The attention to detail was... More

Myself and my partner stayed at this lovely tasteful guest house last weekend. It is fabulous. The hosts Brian and Abby are very kind and thoughtful owners who made our stay perfect. Fabulous rooms and mini fridge and special little treats in the room were just so touching. It made us feel very welcome and spoilt. I loved the deco... More

We spent two nights. Sleep quality was marred by: Extremely noisy seagulls (this is ubiquitous in Whitby) Heat Small double bed Hosts were very friendly. Everything was meticulously clean. Breakfasts were fine, but I think the sausages could be better quality. Nice to have complimentary fresh fruit, tea/coffee, biscuits and water in fridge in room. There are so many B&Bs... More

Brian and Abby are the perfect hosts, very friendly. Apart from Breakfast, check in and check out, we hardly saw them, which is a good thing, because we had no complaints at all. The rooms were spotless and the little touches that we didn't expect made it a more enjoyable stay. The home made parkin was delicious. Would highly recommend.... More

Returned to the Seaview after staying 2 years ago. Still excellent place to stay. Brian and Abby really look after you. Excellent cooked breakfast, plenty of variety and plenty of it. Would Highly recommend.

Coming to Withby bu bus in a cold and rainy day end of May without anywhere to stay,we stood dripping wet on the doorway to Seaview Guest House and were welcomed by Brian. Such a friendly place to stay, with a nice and clean room and a wonderful homemade english breakfast. (And homemade jam, not to be forgotten!). We came... More

Run by Abby & Brian this is a super little place to stay. Decor throughout is 1930's/40's and it's been done very very well indeed. Hosts are very friendly and the food is superb. (And there's lots of it.)

It has to be said - Seaview still sets the benchmark for all others to aspire to. Where else would you find caviar with your breakfast smoked salmon, and not just any salmon, but fresh from Fortune's fabled smokery across the harbour! A range of home-made jams and marmalades which would compete favourably at any country fair and no fewer... More

We stayed at the Seaview for just 2 nights but had a lovely stay. Brian and Abbey were great hosts of this B & B. A lovely touch was the homemade jams, butter and Yorkshire parkin. The room was equipped with a fridge and they had left complimentary water and a bowl of fruit. The view from room 7 was... More

This was our second stay at the Seaview and once again it was fabulous. We had no doubts about where to stay in Whitby as our previous stay was so impressive. Room 7 had an amazing sea view and was a very good size. All the little personal extras - Brian's home made Parkin, fresh fruit, milk, bottled water -... More
