We stayed for 4 nights and everything was brilliant. We stayed in the Whitby Room which is beautifully decorated and has fantastic bathroom!! as is the rest of Hillcrest. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. Jayne was the perfect host, friendly and helpful as were the rest of the staff we met.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hillcrest. It is a lovely, spacious B&B, within easy walking distance of Whitby harbour. The Hillcrest has a small private parking area for guests. Our room was spacious and well furnished with a large clean shower room. The breakfasts were good quality with plentiful portions and the 9:00 'til 9:30 time-slot did not... More

Enjoyed our one night stay four poster bed nice clean room. Breakfast spot-on. Only downside was the climb back up the hill from Whitby centre. Other than that very good. Limited parking but ok. Lovely bathroom with shower big enough for two. Tea and coffee making facilities. Television and free Wi-Fi.

A wonderfully presented house with beautiful bedrooms. Completely clean and well kept. Staff very welcoming and nothing was any trouble. Breakfast was to die for; quality food cooked to perfection. Only 5 mins walk from the town centre. In a great position that is close enough to town but far enough away that it is quiet and peaceful. I would... More

You saved us during our hour of need, We had previously booked into a terrible hotel and were forced to moved due to the unacceptable standards. Here at hillcrest you saved our holiday at short notice. Lovely friendly owner who gave us a choice of rooms! The house is beautifully presented , with clean rooms, pressured fed showers ( not... My wife and I stayed at the Hillcrest Guest House for two nights and really enjoyed our stay. We arrived at around 5pm and were greeted by a pleasant member of staff who showed us to our room, which was called Whitby. The room is really large, well decorated and has a fabulous bathroom with an excellent and spacious shower.... More

Me and my partner stayed here for 3 nights , we were early arriving and didn't get greeted by the owners but by staff who were busy cleaning rooms . When we got our keys to our room called Aislaby we had a look around and found loads of black mould on the shower head , loads of dust on... More

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed at the Hillcrest (first time in 2008). We stayed during Halloween weekend (or for those in the know, the Whitby Goth Weekend). Nice daily rate, free parking, free strong wifi. The room we had (Grosmont) was nice (a bit tight for all the luggage we had, but we made... More

Myself and my husband brought my grandmother here for a couple of nights whilst visiting Whitby. When ringing to book, I asked If there was any ground floor vacancies as obviously my grandma is elderly, this wasn't a problem & a ground floor was booked, with our room booked being the opposite door from hers, this was handy, as my... We booked this accommodation through Whitby Tourist Board and did not find it up to scratch for the price. The Grosmont Room was very small and quite unlike its advertising blurb.. Situated at the back of the hotel it felt more like the staff accommodation. The advertising stated that there was a sumptuous headboard, what a shame that the owners... More
