If you want a full gothic experience, you must try this guesthouse. Nothing has been left out. From beautifully crafted silver cutlery to black and purple ducks and four poster beds everything is in theme. The detail is amazing and a bit overwhelming. Fangs Kev is a thoughtful host and produces a great traditional breakfast. If you are not a... More

Two friends and I stayed here for one night and I throughly enjoyed myself! We had 2 rooms, each with its own bathroom (they were down the corridor but that didn't bother me, it was nice to have one for each specific room). We stayed in the Green Man Room and the Dracula Room. The Green Man Room had a... More

This B and B is outstanding and by far the best in Whitby! I have loved Whitby from being a small child and it's amazingly fantastic! Tish and Kev are brilliant and are very helpful as to where to go in and around Whitby. All the rooms are lovely as I've always stayed here when I visited Whitby. I'm here... More

Well what can be said about this place, below average B&B with a gothic theme. Stayed in the Dracula room hope nobody is into swinging cats because you just wont have the room. The Dracula themed decor was tired & honestly quite dirty one picture hadnt even made it to the wall just loosely propped up against a wall. The... More

We stayed at the Bats and Broomsticks in July 2016 and had a frightfully good time. It’s something different and we loved it. Kev was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. He gave us advice on some of the best places to go in Whitby which was just a 10 minute walk down the road to the centre... More

If your after something different and a little quirky then this is just the place. We loved it. The room was dracula themed and even had its own coffin. The owner was lovely and made us feel very welcome. It's just a short stroll from whitby centre so ideal to walk off the couple of alcoholic beverages we consumed in... More

We booked in here after reading other reviews ,and we weren't disappointed.Kev is a great host and was very welcoming. We had the Green man room, which had lovely views over to the Abbey. The room was comfortable and clean, and a relaxing, quirky decor. Our bathroom was also clean and it really isn't a problem that the bathroom is not in the room(just a short... Stayed here for 3 days and enjoyed our time here. The best part was the breakfast which was cooked to order and had brilliant portion sizes and best of all catered for my vegitarian daughter. Really different place and a very relaxed atmosphere.
