We had 2 rooms, one outside the main house and one in . Both rooms were well equipped , clean and comfortable . The staff were friendly and helpful , the service was excellent . The evening meal was good value and well cooked . Breakfast was plentiful and of good quality . We will definitely return .

We arrived a little early (between 13:30 & 14:00) to the hotel and went to enquire re our chances of checking in (we had a sleepy toddler in tow). The lady on reception was extremely curt with her response "not if you haven't paid for early check in".... No 'let me check' or similar as is our experience at similar... More

Stayed here for one evening and booked two double rooms at a cost of £330 for bed and breakfast. Based on the price I had expectations that this would be a luxury hotel and although the setting is beautiful I didn't feel that the price was justified by the room and facilities. The staff were very friendly and helpful and... More

We arrived to the lovely looking hotel and was greeted by very accommodating staff. That's when it went all wrong! The first room we were shown had peeling wallpaper, water strains on the wall and slashed carpet. Second room better but the couple upstairs sounded like they were running a bath and playing musical chairs from 10pm till 1130. No... More

OK let's get the bad out of the way. This is not an ultra modern hotel. The rooms were a little tired with paint chipped off the doors in places and certainly in need of a little TLC. So if you want modern perfection this is not the place. OK let's get to the bits I loved. Everything! Receptionist called... More

Stayed here overnight last night. What a beautiful setting! The grounds and the hotel are stunning. It's so quiet and we have come away very relaxed. Plenty of parking and check in was quick and easy. Our room was classic and well presented. Very warm and welcoming. The facilities are a plenty, tea and coffee, and a lovely jar of... More

Beautiful surrounding countryside, quiet and very peaceful. Staff in Dining room cheery and friendly. Breakfast was most enjoyable ( never had that experience before) plenty of choice, a little different from most hotels. Background 60's/70's music at just the right level. Our room was roomy & comfortable but beware the bed, mattress is bouncy & overlarge on base, when your partner/husband... More
