I had just driven 400 miles from Northern Ireland and arrived at the Waverley to be greeted by Tania, honestly she was brilliant! Nothing was any trouble and she made us feel at home straight way. She was a mine of information and gave us the heads up on local knowledge - we had been a bit lazy on our...

This is such a kind review, we really do appreciate it and you felt at home because for the few days that you were with us, you were at home. We look forward to your next trip to Whitby but hope that your onward journey was just as enjoyable as your time in Whitby.

An excellent establishment run by friendly, helpful & caring people. The accommodation was beautifully clean & well maintained. Everything we needed had been thought of & nothing was in need of attention. Breakfasts were amazing & set us up for the day. Having stayed in Whitby before we were disappointed with previous fare - grey, grainy scrambled eggs, bacon that...

Thank you for your 5 out of 5 review. Your views really do make a difference to us and we know that people considering staying with us check out what you've said too. You made us smile with the 'Breakfasts were amazing' comment. We try to source all of our products locally, many people are amazed when the local farmer...

Had a lovely time at the Waverly. The village is very peaceful with many little shops to explore. The sea is relaxing to sit by and relax and the 199 steps are challenging to climb. My room at the Waverly was spacious and nicely decorated. The view of the Abbey from my room was fabulous. Will definitely go there again...

Thank you for leaving us such a lovely review. It is appreciated. You are spot on with your comments about wonderful Whitby, there always seems to be something to do here. Jet shops and cobbled streets filled with steaming hot chocolate and fluffy cakes, vibrant pubs with live music spilling into the streets, amazing sunrises and sunsets oh I could...

Our first time of staying in Whitby and we could not have picked a better location. A wonderful homely feeling, with a most beautiful room/ view. The hospitality is second to none and the "Breakfast" has the real wow factor. Would highly recommend.

Our 2nd year at the Waverley, a lovely warm welcome and even had a room upgrade. Lovely comfy bed spotlessly clean and nothing to much trouble. Excellent location as its's only a 5 minute walk from town and a 10 minute wobble back up hill after trying all the pubs.... We had a fambulous weekend. Wish we lived closer as...

Goth weekend is always such fun and the photos are fab! We don't put our availability online for big weekends such as Goth, Regatta and Folk so its always a good idea to ring us directly just in case we have had a cancellation.

This was our second time here. We first stayed around two years ago. We love it here. The rooms are so nice and we had one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Our room had a lovely view of the abbey and was nice and spacious. I loved the shower which had loads of room in...

What can I say that everyone else hasn't - easy to find, parking space saved for us, room booked as small/compact double - nothing compact about it ! I'd say best room in the house, Room 9 with panoramic views over the bay across to the Church - good pair of binoculars on the window sill for use. Room was...
