Bad bits first. No one to greet us on arrival. We arrived at 7pm on Friday, they state arrivals up to 8pm on a Friday. No sign to tell us where to go either. Toilet/shower block, although stated it was basic, and it was, was not very clean. The gents especially was in need of a good and thorough scrub....

Hi Jenny, Thank you so much for leaving a kind review and we hope to see you again. I just want to state that although reception was closed, I was just in the house next door to reception and I would have been more than happy to show you on when you arrived. We are also aware of the basic...

I stayed here in September in a tent and I had a lovely time. With glorious views of Whitby, cute goats, chickens and a cat to go and see and very friendly and helpful staff - I couldn't have been happier. There is a pub with great food next door and Whitby is so close, it's ideal. I had no...

An excellent camp site, run by Family. The site has ample Toilets and showers. There is a play ground for the children and an indoor bouncy castle. Loved the ice cream and seeing the animals too. We were made very welcome and the staff could not do enough for you to ensure your stay is the best. We stayed in...

An uneven field on a working farm. Great views of whitby harbour and the Abby in the distance. Play ground for kids enclosed. Showers (20p, 3mins) and toilets a big let down to the site but we were told a new block was to be built in the near future. Very quiet area the odd noise from the farm and...

The campsite is OK. Pretty basic facilities, with an ok well drained field. The shower block is tired, limited, but does at least have good showers. The issue we had was this campsite is billed as a child friendly and quiet site. We had late night noise, people whistling and shouting dogs at midnight, playing music from their car and...

We hadn't camped for few years so found this site good value for money. Basic site but that's what camping about. Shower block with toilets and another toilet portacabin, drinking water tap in field. Good location , few miles from sands end beach and Whitby centre. Nice quiet site, Good Play area in middle of field brilliant for kids. staff...

Needed camping for the bank holiday weekend. Spotted this. Was sceptical at first but we thought it was a great place. It is basic but the toilets were always clean and looked after. Friendly staff. Plenty of camping room! Great budget getaway.

Thus is a self proclaimed budget campsite - don't expect anything else The showers and toilets are dated but they don't hide this or try to disguise it - if they extend /update them it will mean they will have to put up their prices and then exclude a lot of campers who are happy with basics and their only...

Booked here on a spur of the moment. We had read the reviews, some of which were not the best but for the price we paid the site was excellent. Shower block more than adequate even if a little rough around the edges. Site is big and plenty of space for our tent pitch. Owners, family and staff are the...
