Lovely meals - steak, chops, prawns in coconut and chilli yum. Service great and mine hosts nice and friendly. Hard working family couple trying really hard. Rooms pleasant and homely. Beds were comfortable :)). Building could probably use some TLC but good value for what it was.

We had a day out in Scarborough and went to wilsons arms for lunch. The food was well presented and tasty, the owners were very welcoming and friendly. We have took a business card and will be trying it out to stay there over the summer

This was a very reasonably priced hotel and although it's decor and room were very basic, it was immaculately clean and had we needed. The owners were able to set up a bed for our son at no extra charge. We were visiting as part of a coast to coast cycle ride so there were a group of us. We... More

Visited the Wilson whilst staying at Stainton. Excellent food from good menu. Made welcome by staff and locals alike. Try the quiz night on Tuesdays for a meal, drink and country pub atmosphere. Plenty of walking in the area so always a good place to return to.

Nice country pub with friendly and helpful owners and regulars, had a lovely meal here too -with the best homemade onion rings! Well worth a visit if you are in the area. Can't comment on rooms as we were staying elsewhere in the village but would definitely consider staying there if we visited the area again

Stayed here for the weekend of the goth festival. On arrival the location is great views of the abbey far enough away from the hustle and bustle. The room however was only small, the toilet didnt flush properly, the sink in the bedroom and the toilet and cubicle squashed in a small room. The paper pealing off the wall. The... More

It is a tricky review to write of this Pub/B&B. As we pulled up the pub looked quite dated and in need of a bit of paint. The owner spotted us as we arrived and was incredibly welcoming which was lovely, the room itself was nice and warm and more than adequate, it seemed very clean and pleasant. However, the... More

Great food, but would not stay over. If showers do work, it's too cold to take one. Asked them to check, but no luck! In the visitors book complaints go back to 2014, but no alterations. Would you stay where you can't shower? But great for food.

IT’S NOT FOR US. Four of us arrived on Friday 30/10/15 for two nights stay bed and breakfast for Whitby Goth Weekend. On arrival about 4.30 pm the overall look for the place was a little tired. The carpark is large with plenty of room. The front door was locked so we rang the intercom and we think it was... More
