I and 3 friends had a 4 day break over Christmas at this lovely hostel. Parked outside easily. Quickly signed in. We were in a 6 berth en suite room. Plenty of room, clean and warm. The only slight problem was the night light which was on all the time. Self catering kitchen had all that was required. Had Christmas...

We came to explore the town where Bram Stoker imagined the scenes for Dracula. The hostel has a great view of the town and is super accessable. The garden and the view of the Abbey are spectacular. Amazing location.

My stay in this hostel was one of my favourites. The hostel is the old Abbey house which has been converted very well and is full of character, as well as information about the house and the site. The hostel is situated on top of the cliff on one side of the harbour, which means beautiful views but also 199...

Fantastic YHA for a large group. There were 23 of us, comprising of 6 families of which all had family rooms with ensuite. We couldn't of chosen a better place to stay as the children loved exploring the mansion. The location was fantastic, next to the abbey and you could see fireworks being set off all around Whitby which was...

Our first time in a youth hostel and we were really impressed. The bedroom was huge - had the one with 3 bunk beds which looked over whitby. The room was clean, beds comfy and great warm shower. The lounges were comfy, the kids loved the football table in the games room and the breakfast was yummy. We will definitely...

Fantastic location next to the Abbey. Beautiful building, clean and well kept. Breakfast is fresh, plentiful and cheap. Service is cheerful and very welcoming. We were upgraded on arrival to a large room.

Was pleased with the surroundings really lovely. Had a great stay but there was a few issues like no hearing, shower head to low as my husband is over 6ft tell and I'm not a small person either. The beds weren't that comfy and we kept sinking to middle. Also the do does were rotten and had a dead fly...

Booked almost last minute because we were trading at Whitby Sci Fi and Comic Con and forgot to book somewhere to stay. Then we found the Youth Hostel. And it is RIGHT BY Whitby Abbey. That was an instant win for us. It only cost £39 for three of us in a four person private room. The hostel is in...
