Nice hotel, clean, good breakfast, friendly staff.... BUT, nightmare to park and the sound of a generator 24/7. The hotel adjoins a David Lloyd fitness centre, a big one, and the constant humming, drumming sound comes from the back of the hotel, likewise, the back of the fitness centre, from generators pumping steam from a chimney attached to Somewhere in the club.... all day, ALL NIGHT, a background drone noise, and there are no opening room windows in our room, close to this smoking chimney.... I spoke to a receptionist and her exact words were, "yes, that's from the club next door".... Also, there is a small car park area outside the hotel JUST for approx 15 hotel guests cars, and David Lloyd fitness members cannot park there, signs everywhere..... OH YES THEY CAN, YES THEY DO and when you confront them, they tell you to ....... off.... charming people the other evening, low life peasant... the club receptionist wasn't interested, the hotel wasn't interested, I had to park far away, drag my cases to the hotel with my family. Very handy position. Right next to a big ASDA.... This is one HIE I won't be returning to in a hurry.....

Have stayed in this hotel on and off for the past eight-years and having read many of the reviews about the food I very rarely eat in the hotel. Yesterday I did eat in the hotel and sadly the food was Okay, but nothing special. Fish & Chps were alright but the chicken wings were under cooked and bloody. With most wings you get three to four of the six that are small and were cooked fine but the last couple certainly were not cooked. I took the plate back to reception and Darren apologised and said he would tell the chef. Other than this poor incident the rooms are good, wi-fi spot on and the staff extremely pleasant and helpful.

Stayed here for a few nights as part of a working trip. The rooms were fine, had the basic things you would need. Receptionists were nice and helpful. However the breakfast food quality was really poor. Also my colleague and I both found the WiFi to be virtually non-existent which caused me to miss an important online meeting.

An overnight stay for a theatre trip. Staff were friendly and easy to find. Our room was recently refurbished and was clean, spacious and comfortable with a double bed and sofa bed. I especially liked the choice of bright or dim light in the shower room, meaning we were not dazzled during nighttime trips to the toilet. Parking was plentiful and there is a regular bus service into the city throughout the day and evening.
