I confess I have a soft spot for Caistor Hall - my wife and I have stayed here half a dozen times over the past 5 years and although it can be a little quirky, it definitely knocks the 'cookie cutter' hotel chains into a cocked hat... We paid £80 for room # 403 (four poster, windows on 2 sides,... More

Came here to stay as part of a wedding party. First thing the day was not massively hot but quite humid, this made the entire building absolutely boiling. The place desperately needs aircon throughout not just in the rooms. The room where all the guests ate the 3 course meal was so cramped and everyone was on top of each... More

We had our daughter's wedding reception at Caistor Hall on the 9th June. Absolutely amazing! The whole day could not be faulted. The staff worked so hard to ensure that things ran smoothly and as mother and father of the bride we could enjoy a hassle free, well organised beautiful day. Thank you to all staff at Caistor Hall, especially... More

I returned to this top quality hotel after a two year gap. It was excellent then and is even better now. It is very clean with a splendid ambience which makes you feel as if you belong there as soon as reach Reception. The staff were friendly and approachable and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was first class... More

I stayed over one night for a business trip....I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I was made very welcome, the room was a little run down but was clean, comfortable and had everything I needed. Breakfast was good and comfortable lounge to sit and have a drink. The grounds are lovely - had a good walk Good value for money

Today was my mums 94th birthday and I organised a surprise tea party for her and all our family at Caistor Hall. The staff could not have been more efficient, from the planning talking to Jenna, to the excellent service provided by Ollie and Christine. The table prepared at Caistor Hall was an absolute treat, beautiful little sandwiches, cakes galore... More

We attended a meeting at this hotel. It is very run down. The room was tatty and cold. The daffodils in vases on the table were dead! There is an air of neglect with only one young staff member on duty. We were served coffee mid morning and had to ask for biscuits. The buffet lunch after our meeting was... More

Dear Guest, Thankyou for your feedback following your visit, it is a shame this contrasts the feedback from the event organisers who have since re-booked additional meeting dates. It is disappointing you felt so strongly in disagreement with this and that the venue wasnt to your liking. Our staff are never alone on duty, however as a corporate event you... More

I have known this place since the 1970's and it is still a lovely house and garden. Several years ago it became a super restaurant with good food a fine atmosphere. And then it changed hands. I had a poor experience three years ago but returned last night in hope. As a family of seven we walked into the bar... More

Dear Guest, Firstly, I am pleased to see our staff positively contributed to your visit as did you meals and wine, however of course we apologise you felt dissatisfied with your experience. We are now at time of year where the British weather is being most unpredictable and as such seem to have been caught out with temperatures with a... More

We booked the Bridal suite for a romantic night away. We arrived and noticed the eerie quietness of the hotel straight away. Only two other cars in car park. Only one member of staff around. Checked in and went to the room. Nice room, large and had a great jacuzzi bath. The room did look a little like it could do... More

Nice, country house style hotel in surrounding garden grounds and within easy walking distance of the ruins of the Roman town of Venta Icenorum. Comfortable and spacious room, overlooking landscaped lawns where deer and rabbits were seen. The room, whilst in keeping with a listed country house could do with a little bit of TLC, but was nice and clean,... More

Dear Catriona, We certainly appreciate your recent feedback, and the direct positive feedback from your group also following your event. I know Emma was pleased for your personal contact, and having been let down by the local taxi firm I am pleased she was able to assist in you making your transport links!
