Enjoyed a family meal in a lovely location. Good food and friendly hosts made this three generation family meal very relaxed. Local produce ( including goat) on a varied menu. We booked and on arrival sat by the open fire and chose our food with help from the staff who knew all about the produce including the samphire. Menu had... More

Spent 2 night at The Ugly Bug Inn and it was such a relaxing experience. Very warm and friendly family that run the venue. The rooms are small but have everything you need inside them. Further more the food is excellent, such great value and great selection.

The worst sirloin steak I've ever experienced.asked for medium rare, arrived with not a hint of juice to be seen.Didnt even look like sirloin.i could have done a better job in my kitchen. I tried the Ugly bug on a friends recommendation, I normally use the red lion in Cringleford where the steak is always cooked to perfection. At the... More

We were told that this was an above average pub for food and I must say the food was good (if a little overpriced). However, the pub itself was dark and tired looking inside and out. Upon arrival we were told to take a seat in the bar and the Maitre D came over and gave us the menus. When... More

After travelling 100 miles to meet my 3rd cousin and her husband who we traced whilst researching our family tree, we were certainly impressed by their recommendation to have lunch here. A warm welcome followed by drinks from the bar and a choice of seating, we chose the outside eating area under the cover of the grape vines overlooking the... More

We received a warm welcome from the land lady and sat down with drinks before our evening meal. Menus were brought to us and when our food was ready we were seated at our table. The food was plentiful, of good quality and well presented. It was all delivered with a smile. This is a very nice quiet location with... More

Our room was very clean and comfortable, nicely decorated with good bathroom and plenty of hot water. Unfortunately breakfast was very disappointing. We didn't want a cooked breakfast, and very little was left on the buffet as a big party arrived just before us. We asked for the yoghurts, melon slices and muesli to be topped up, and yoghurts and... More

This lovely little pub & restaurant came recommended & considering it's location is extremely popular. We liked that our orders were taken in the bar area so once you were seated at the table the first course was ready to be served. The menu is very extensive & has a good variety of fish choices. I had made my decision... More

My husband and I ate here, I had a starter and a main, if I had known how big my Ugly Bug salad was going to be, I could have skipped the starter!!! I had sea asparagus to start which was delicious, recommended by the host as I had told him I loved Roll Mops! The salad was gorgeous, lots... More

I was in the Barnham Broom area for a friends party and came across this lovely B&B. It's a small family run pub and accommodation set in a rural setting of Colton. I was surprised just how popular this place was considering its location- they were fully booked for the restaurant and accommodation on the Friday and Saturday night- so... More
