I am regularly in London and never had such a bad experience 1) I got a room in the basement, what hotel hotel offer something like that and for such a price 2) there is no air conditioning so I needed to leave the window open which is too loud because of the street and the construction site 3) mini... Very disappointed with our stay in our stay here. Got a great deal on this place and considering how expensive it is to stay in London, my girlfriend and I were delighted when we found it online. But it isn't nice. It's not comfortable, it's very basic. I wouldn't stay again.

This place is appalling. The bed/mattress was situated on a mezzanine floor not much bigger that the mattress itself, accessed by a very steep ladder type stairs construction. The room was sparse and bare and there was no hot water, the shower was broken. There was no kettle to boil water, no tea and coffee making facility, one room didn’t... More

It was on the 4th floor of steep steps. The promised wifi never appeared. The bathroom was so small that I had to put my leg on the sink to use the loo. They brought a hairdryier that was actually dangerous, as it was broken and had exposed wires. The stair carpet was totally loose, and liable to kill someone.... More

Rooms are stuffy and small. Beds are hard. Had to ask for toilet paper to be replaced. Lights in apartment not working. Carpet downstairs stinks of damp. Never again! It is close to transport but so many other places to stay in the area - choose somewhere else if you can.

We are regular visitors to London, probably 6/8 weekend trips a year. We have tried many hotels & usually stay at the travelodge at Covent Garden, which we find suits our needs. However this time we were coming to London to specifically go to Proms in the Park, so looked online & found these 'apartments' and booked (stupidly without reading... More

Good points: 1. Location Bad points: 1. Apartment was small and poorly equipped. 2. Very noisy 3. Suspect security measures. 4. No wifi in rooms at all. 5. Ridiculously tiny wash basin. 6. Rooms super hot (admittedly not a major issue for most of year) 7. Old and dirty elevator. 8. Charge of 5 GBP levied to leave luggage for... More

The receptionist was very rude, and whenever we ask about anything he says "I don't know" so I am not sure why is he working there. He knows our language but insisted on not talking with it although it's hospitality to speak customer's language. We cancelled our booking and stayed somewhere else, they said they'll deduct one night but they... More

I would not advice anyone to stay here. Room was too small to open bag out, we could not get out of the bed at the same time. The bed was broken on one side and was so uncomfortable that even though it was paid for by work to stay three nights we checked out one day early. You need... More

DO NOT STAY HERE - Booked to stay here with my wife who was on business for three nights. Initially booked by her work back home in Australia the name Hyde Park "Executive" Apartments is unbelievably misleading! This would have to be the worst place we have ever stayed in. We have stayed at better backpacker places than this. A... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
