Stayed for two nights on the occasion of our daughter's wedding, whose reception was held in the One Tun. It is an interesting old building, full of history. The rooms above the pub, up a narrow staircase, have been superbly appointed and provided everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable. The pub does not provide breakfast, but there is a Local store only a very short distance away, a small fridge in the room and the pub provided breakfast crockery and cutlery so we were very able to sort out breakfast in the room ourselves, and a nearby pub does a full cooked breakfast if that is preferred. The One Tun is ideally located in a quiet area just off the main streets of London close to parking and transport. But surpassing all these excellent points are the staff. Attentive, approachable and friendly hosts it was more like being family guests than paying customers. I would totally recommend the One Tun to anyone looking for thus sort of accommodation in this area of London.…
We stayed for two nights concentrating on exploring the City area to avoid using public transport to go further afield. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was a decent size, clean and well presented. Reasonably quiet given side street location. Had two meals in the pub which focuses on Asian cuisine. Very tasty and reasonably priced. A Wetherspoons on the next corner which was handy for breakfast.
Visited London for a business trip, room was fantastic, had water, tea, coffee machine, snacks for free. Warm, comfortable and well decorated old building, stairs are narrow, a little bit difficult getting to the rooms with large luggage. Service is excellent, all the hosts are very gentle and helpful. We coudn't enjoy the pub because of COVIT restrictions, but overall it was a great find.
Visited London for a business trip and booked a room at the One Tun. The rooms are fantastic and look recently renovated. And the best part is that if you want to grab a drink the bar is just downstairs. The pub serves Asian cuisine, my favourite was the wasabi prawns, and is usually nice busy with a nice vibe through the week. Overall a great find and definitely will book again next time I’m in London
We stayed for five nights over the Christmas holiday. The room was very clean and ours was very large, especially for European standards. It was a very short walk to the Tube, which we used daily and it took us any where we wanted to go. The pub was closed our entire stay, which was a bummer we didn't get to try the food or drink. The only downside was that a door/fire alarm went off twice close to midnight two of the nights. Not sure what that was about. The paintings of the dogs were a cute touch and they included water, snacks and two small bottles of Prosecco with a hand written note in our room to enjoy. The tv was fitted with Netflix which was a bonus in the evening. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would consider staying there again!
