The hotel looks as if it’s been recently refurbished and it’s been done beautifully while respecting the original layout and retro features. On arrival we weren’t met with a welcome drink or separate concierge as advertised on the website. That said, it was seamless and check in was smooth. Our Level room was a good size and had modern decor. Bizarrely the bathroom had frosted glass which is fine for couples but not really appropriate if you’re staying with friends! We enjoyed the use of The Level which included hot tapas and spirits in the evening on top of the all day snacks, coffee and prosecco offering. The real star of our stay was Thomas who served us in The Level and in the breakfast room. His service style was a real credit to the hotel - professional but friendly. If the hotel has an Employee awards scheme, Thomas would get our vote hands down!

Wonderful 2 night mid-week stay. We were 3 adults & a 3yr old so had 2 rooms, (a family room & premium room) both were modern, extremely clean, spacious & innovative with really comfy beds, plenty of storage & great showers! The staff are a real asset too - extremely helpful, professional & friendly, no request was too much trouble. Breakfast was well presented with plenty of choice & delicious - again the service was very good & unobtrusive. The Level Lounge/Bat afternoon refreshments & early evening tapas all lovely too. Cannot recommend it enough & will certainly be booking here for our next London trip

Really nice hotel and had a fantastic room on the top floor… The Marlybone Suite. Plenty of space, large dining area, lounge bedroom en-suite. Room was cleaned daily to a good standard. Only freeview available on the telly, I’d hoped for some smart functions. We had lounge access with the room type. It’s open from 11am and there is bread, olives and then some chocolates and sweets. Evening wise you can top up on beer and wines for a couple of hours. The lounge was never really busy and was quite relaxing even with a three year old child. We had breakfast included and it’s a buffet. Pretty nice. The lady who was on at breakfast during our stay was really friendly to our 3 year old making him smile, which was nice. There is several tube stations nearby. Just check if you have young ones as they don’t all have lifts or elevators (Regent’s Park) A taxi from the hotel to Waterloo was only £14 so we chose that option on the final day.

We stayed at The Melia for our honeymoon. We booked the junior suite and it did not disappoint. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a problem with the shower being slow draining but once we mentioned it to reception they organised for maintenance to come and look it and we not other issues. Our room was amazing, so spacious and comfortable. The facilities in the room where well stocked and anything used was replenished by housekeeping. Would definitely stay again. Ive gone on about it being such a good hotel that my parents have booked in to stay there when they visit London!

I enjoyed staying at this comfortable, friendly and well located hotel. I was in London for 3 days on business with my son. The Level rooms are modern, well designed and very comfortable. My only disappointment apart from the bar shutting comparatively early was the house keeping. My room clearly hadn’t been swept between guests and there were none of the stated luxuries dressing gowns, slippers etc on offer. It’s as if the cleaner had raced through forgetting about these details. However, the devil is in the detail. I’m booked in again for business in October and November, again in The Level rooms so I’ll be looking for an improvement during those stays. The Level lounge area is great as is the tapas and drinks they serve early evening.
