2020 Travelers' Choice Best of the Best
The hotel itself looks and feels just like a rather grand, 300-year-old town house, complete with richly furnished drawing room, library, parlour and courtyard garden. Our characterful bedrooms are all furnished with genuine antiques and named after real people who lived in the area. Our bathrooms all have period fittings, refurbished, of course, to modern standards of efficiency.

Stayed here for two nights last week for our 40th anniversary. Should have been 3 nights but the lockdown cut us short a day. Still we had a great time, fantastic boutique hotel with beautiful rooms and bathroom. Excellent staff who put on a great service despite knowing they were to close down. Everything you thing you need is local so no restaurant no problem. Great location. Love to come back one day and complete our stay. Good luck and thank you.

This is the second time my husband and I have stayed in this excellent hotel and both times have been a delight! -Love the antique interiors with four poster beds and roll top baths. It really does feel very special stepping inside the hotel (on an unassuming street just off Spitalfields), quiet yet central to all the hustle and bustle of East London! The hotel also has a honesty bar (in front of a fire!) which is a lovely way to unwind after being out in the city! Our stay was just before lockdown here in the UK so it felt like a weird time to be staying anywhere but the staff made us feel very welcome and kindly upgraded us when we arrived to a beautiful room! -thank you!

My son has known about this hotel for a while and forgot to mention it, I may never forgive him..! Its a total Gem quite simply perfect. Not your run of the mill Boutique Hotel very special on another level each room is individual they have 3 lounges immaculately decorated where breakfast is served an honestly bar and a small but perfectly formed patio. Location is wonderful Spittalfields in just a minutes walk away, the famous covered market and little boutique shops cafes and restaurants. Dennis Severs House is next door you will need to book in advance as only limited numbers aloud. I would recommend this hotel to everyone however possibly not with children.

Unique hotel just behind Liverpool Street. Beautiful decorated rooms - Georgian style, four poster beds, free standing baths makes this a brilliant find Friendly and attentive staff on hand and responsive.

An exceptional hotel experience unsurpassed in London. Georgian interior design and antiquities combine harmoniously with up-to-the minute conveniences and luxuries. The staffing and operation is next-to-none. You won't find more helpful, friendly and professional staff anywhere in London. As observed in previous reviews, expect to step out of the bustle and buzz of city life into a sanctuary of calm, grace and luxury. You'll be treated and pampered like honoured guest in a private and elegant Georgian home.
