The western front of the edgy East End, Shoreditch is a perennially trendy haven for anything “street” – be it art, food, or fashion. With its handful of well connected transportation links dotting its perimeter, along with an ever increasing variety of shops, hotels, bars, and restaurants, it's easy to explore this trend-conscious and youth-oriented neighborhood. There's a lingering post-industrial grit about Shoreditch, but because it shares a border with “The City” financial district, the influence from its upscale neighbor can result in fascinating outcomes.

Hi Nikki ! Several parts to my answer 1. Heathrow and Gatwick both have connections into central London . If you are confident using an underground or metro system then that is the cheapest and most convenient way in . At Gatwick you get a train into London and then transfer to the tube , at Heathrow you are best to get the tube . 2. If you have loads of luggage , or small children with you then taxi from Heathrow , (get train from Gatwick to London then Uber or taxi ) 3. Oyster card is easy - but Apple Pay works the same . I’d always use pay as you go as there is a daily cap so you don’t spend tonnes . 4. Enjoy London ! This hotel is near lots of great history and you can travel around easily .

Better way is to get the tube either to Liverpool street (not that that close 10mis walk) or Moorgate or Old street(closer 5min walk). Now about London eye yes u cannot go by feet but if u take the tube then is not far.
