Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.

I recently stayed at the Celtic Hotel for 2 nights - a night on either end of a work trip that took me outside of London. The stay was perfect in every way! Clean hotel, great location, wonderful breakfast, lovely, friendly hosts, and a very quiet room. I highly recommend the

Stayed for few days and liked the homeliness of this place. Rooms are very simple and clean, though my bed was saggy which isn't good for the back. Rooms need more maintenance, paintwork, furniture spruce up. Drawers in the cupboard didn't open.... All staff were lovely, helpful

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Celtic hotel. Each day started out with a delicious hearty breakfast in the dining room. The location was fantastic – easy access to the tube and lots of historic sites. The hotel itself is nothing fancy - but perfectly fine and more than

We stayed here again, for 2 years in a row, 2017 & 2018. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are nice & quiet. It is close to the Tube, as well as local cafes, restaurants, & grocery stores if you want to grab a quick sandwich or fruit. Best value for the cost

The whole staff were really nice and helpful. The room wasn't bad, the bed was kinda hard but decent enough to get a good sleep. Wifi was good and breakfast was perfect. They have a menu where you can choose what you want.

Our bedroom window. not much of a view.
Our second room
No, The two rooms that my family stayed in did not have that in either room. Really, the rooms are quite small and simple but perfectly functional. There is all the tea and coffee you could want in the breakfast room downstairs.

You should email the hotel directly with this question. Every room has a different rate depending on the size of the room, the number of beds, and whether or not the bathroom is ensuite. A better approach would be for you to contact your local bank and ask what the exchange rate is for them to provide you with British pounds before your trip. The hotel is going to want to be paid in pounds. Alternatively, if you pay with a credit card, the bank issuing the credit card will perform the exchange transaction and your bill will be in New Zealand dollars. You can always call the card issuer and ask what the exchange rate is, but know that it changes on a daily basis.

I either telephone, or send an email. Emails are answered within a very short time. It's a convenient way if you're not in the UK.

"Our room faced the front and had a lot of light"
"If you need a cab from the airport or to anywhere, check with the hotel front desk to book for you. Far cheaper than anything I found."
"Room 19 (en-suite bathroom) was quieter than 20 (no bathroom, just sink), courtyard side."
"I like the single basic rooms right up in the attic - quiet & airy."
