The room was a good size. The decor wasn't really appealing but the bed was comfortable and the shower was good. Location wise was the best. Nestled between Trafalgar Square and the Jubilee Bridge. Short stroll to Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace. For that reason alone would consider this hotel again

I have stayed in various locations in London but this location is by far one of the most central and convenient for the theatres, galeries and the river Thames. The National Galery is a 2 minute walk, the Thames 5 minutes walk , Covent garden a 15minute walk , St James park and Buckinghma palace 15 minute walk throgh the...

I chose a small room but it had everything I needed. The location is perfect for seeing the sites and going to the theatre. Staff were helpful. Beautiful old building with lots of character but very comfortable.

This hotel is everything it says on the brochure!! Beautifully modern & very central (a minute walk from Charing Cross underground). The staff were friendly and accommodating, our room was nice and spacious, very comfortable bed & all you need in terms of toiletries and amenities - our stay couldn't have been more perfect! Well worth the money.

Very centrally located hotel, staff friendly, room clean and a good size with a huge bed. Room was at the back of the hotel so not much of a view but was very quiet.Only downside was that room was rather cold and we were unable to adjust the temperature via the airconditioning. We reported this to reception but nothing was done...

Spent the night here with my wife for our visit to the theatre. Very clean and comfortable room. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Perfectly placed for all sight seeing locations which are only a short walk away. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed two nights at the 7th floor. Loved the hotel. Location is perfect for sightseeing, shopping, and dinning. Staff is attentive and very helpful. The room is spaces. Although the facility is a bit out dated, the amenities made up for it. Filtered water at each floor is quite nice. Microwave, fridge, and kettle are quite useful. Wifi is reliable....

Don't let the name fool you. This Grand requires a grand overhaul. We stayed here over a weekend with the family, and other than the location, everything else about this property is in dire need of an upgrade. Be prepared for drafty windows, musty smelling rooms, outdated and decrepit bathrooms, and non-existent service. Don't let the pictures of the lobby...

Great hotel in great location. Ticked all the boxes for a quick shopping and show trip to London with my teenage daughter. Will definitely stay again. Location was great very near embankment tube station and only 3 stops to Victoria station for Gatwick express.

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
