We enjoyed our stay here, the location is in the city centre and easy to recognize. We especially appreciate the useful help from the front desk lady. It's a pity that we didn't have the breakfast, maybe next time. However, the room is a little crowded,it's okay anyway.

A 5 star hotel with attentive and friendly staff. The hotel boasts two nice restaurants, a large business center/atrium, lovely lobby in a historic building (I believe it was the former Department of Defence building). One could not ask for a more central and convenient location for sightseeing. Across, the street there is a great pub as well.

We stayed at the grand for 2 nights for my birthday. It was OK the best thing about the hotel was its central position. We didn't have breakfast so I cannot comment on this. The hotel bar closes at 12am which I thought was rather strange for a hotel. The room was nothing special and a bit tired to be... More

Overall a very positive experience staying at The Grand at Trafalgar Square. Key highlight was the location being very central and diagonally opposite from Trafalgar Square, and everywhere in London city being walkable e.g. theatres, Chinatown, etc. The nearby Tube station at Embankment was less than ten minutes walk ensuring you are able to get where you want to go.... Had a really nice stay here. The room was lovely and spacious. The price was good compared to other central locations. From the hotel you can walk to most attractions comfortably. Has a bar and restaurant inside which is quite pricey however there are unlimited options within 5 minutes walk. Would definitely come back on our next trip to London.

Everything was good at this hotel. Hotel position is excellent for visiting London. Room was large, comfortable and very well furnished. Service was excellent (I arrived at 1AM and was promptely serviced). Common areas look a bit worn-out but it's ok. Didn't have breakfast so I can't tell.

We thought the location was excellent as it was around and close to all the areas we were visiting. Thought the price of breakfast was very high for what it was especially when you've got lots of cafes and coffee shops around. The room was very clean and beds comfortable. Staff very helpful.

We booked two rooms for three nights at this hotel. They were clean, comfortable and much larger than we expected. The location right off Trafalgar Square was perfect. We had perfect weather for watching the Buskers performing in the square and for walking to Covent Garden and the theater district. The National Gallery and the National Portrait Gallery are a... Nothing beats the location of this property. Mere stone's throw away from Trafalgar Square, and everything is within walking distance, such as Covent Garden, theatres in West End, shopping in Piccadilly.... My family of 9 took up 3 rooms. My wife and kids had a "one-bedroom", which was really just a large double room with a half partition and two... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
