Hotel looked basic but decent from website, what we got didnt seem to meet the expectations, arrived just after 2pm (the allocated check in time) and were left waiting in reception for over 15 mins with no sign of any staff. Our room (2 people sharing) was the smallest hotel room I've ever seen, no ventilation given it was unseasonably... More

Cant take big lug... Very Tiny toilet... Good place for 2 people with small luggage.... But not recommended for family with luggage....

I booked here a few days before staying via hotels.com, and when I arrived I was informed there was a problem with my reservation (they double booked me), and booked me in a hotel down the street. The alternate hotel was not clean, and cost less money than what I had paid, but no reimbursement was offered.

Great location, close to lots of restaurants, bars and shops. Staff very friendly and rooms exceptional clean. Lots of character. Rooms were very small, but made up for it with high quality finish. I have read some of the negative reviews for this hotel and find them hard to believe. It far exceeded my expectations for a cheap hotel in... More

I booked one night at Chester Hotel. Easy to reach, five minutes walk from Victoria Station, in a calm little typical Pimlico street. Room number 10, on ground floor, clean, with a big window, comfortable beds (2), minifridge, tv, compact but clean and modern bathroom. Very good price. No doubts, Chester hotel will be my choice also next time in... More

Had to spend a couple more days in London due to trip delays. Room 9 was my first night and room 17 the second. I was struck by the kindness of the staff all the way through my inconveniences. Thumbs up to Dounya and Cornel, and a huuuge thanks to the owner who even took upon himself to drop us... More

An overpriced, noisy, and unclean hotel in Victoria Our room didn't have a window to offer any fresh air but a window that opened into the corridor! No fire escape plan. TV didn't work. Sheets smelt damp. Pillows like bricks. Smell of urine in Bathroom

A week ago my mother and myself traveled from Ireland to London for a two day trip. After a long day travelling around London we arrived at the hotel looking forward to relaxing for the night. Upon entering there was a very small hallway which lead to an equally tiny reception area staffed my only one man. After presenting our... More

Prior to my journey, I was informed that my room would be ready for midday. However upon my arrival I was told that I would have to check in at 2pm, which would have been fine had I not been told otherwise and had to be somewhere for 2.30pm. My bag was left in "storage" aka a corner of a... More

The hotel is in a great spot. Close to Victoria, with lots of local eateries and shops very local. It s cheap and functional. Small room but for £50 a night in such a central location I cannot complain. Only complaint I have is other inconsiderate guests making lots of noise at any time they seem fit!!

Staying in Pimlico

Neighborhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
