Marlin Apartments - Empire Square is situated right beside Borough Station and London Bridge giving you easy access to anywhere in London and beyond. The staff are extremely friendly and on hand to help with any of your needs during your stay. - Close to the buzzing Bermondsey Street and Borough Market as well as Southbank and The City - Spacious apartments with great amenities (hairdryer, iron etc) - Quiet for central London - Extremely comfortable bed and bedding - Sky and other channels - Good wifi (I am WFH so this is really important) - Tesco express right below - Feels safe with 24 hour concierge if you are travelling alone Great stay in Marlin as always! I will be back.

Was not happy with the room or the service. Everything was broken it had a really bad smell in it. And the front checkin desk didn’t do nothing gave us a dirty room and all curtains broken bed had stains

As we arrived finally, we was told to pay a 500 deposit! Which is abit much however we understand.... however this was a very stupid rule or the lady at reception did not know what she was doing. We put down a deposit on one of the party’s card.... however because we did not have enough amount on the card to pay this new fee we found out about £500 it was not possible to pay using the same card. We was told we could not use another card to pay this then because we had no option the lady then said she will refund my deposit and rebook on to a different card that can also afford the funds on another person in our party card. So we happily agreed to then be told oh no actually it’s not under the booking name so I can not take the payment. To which we had to re group and mess around struggling to make payment on a card she could except. So we finally go back to make a payment. To which she then finally takes. We ask about our 500 security deposit and request how long it will take to come back into the account into which they say we need to call the bank the next day for them to release... however come the next day this was not the case the apartment could of down this . Any way finally getting to the room that night which now took up a lot of time and wasted are evening we got to the apartment. And for a 500 extra feee was not worth it. It was nice and big but it needed cleaning , fresh paint and there was already damages in the apartment not to mention the shower tap in one the rooms was broken. I would not stay here again. And recommend they get staff that actually know what they are doing.

All feedback is highly appreciated as we are constantly trying to improve our services towards all our guests. I am sorry to hear there was a misunderstanding in regards to our processes. It is true, the person making the booking and the payment, must provide the pre-authorization on the same card used for the payment. In terms of the pre-authorization, this is just a security hold for incidentals. The money never physically leaves the account, but only put on hold. Because of this, the release process is automatic, and it can take up to 10 working days for this to happen. I am sorry this information was not made clear to you at arrival. I really hope the rest of your stay was enjoyable, and if there is anything we can be of help, please contact us. We will be more than happy to assist you. I started staying at Marlin Empire Square in July because I need to spend a few days in London weekly for business reasons. Wow! I was pleasantly surprised. Sure the room was clean and comfortable but the stand out factor for me was ( and still is) the consistent excellent customer service. The operations manager, Dorin, made sure that i had everything I needed, he was professional, extremely efficient, courteous and runs a good team. The location is super convenient with Borough Market, pubs and restaurants nearby, there is even underground parking and an express supermarket next door. Marlin Empire Square is now my home from home. Apartments with balcony are available so stunning views come as a standard too. I have been going weekly for 3 months now and their consistency in good customer service should be applauded. It is good value for money too and I have been upgraded to the executive once at no additional charge. Fabulous!

I don't normally write reviews, but I had such a wonderful stay at Marlin Apartments at Empire Square that I felt compelled to say something. I rented the studio (suite 20) in the blue building. I have to say that I have never stayed in a room quite so clean. I am very tall so I can easily see on top of mirror frames and picture frames where I always find a small layer of dust. Not this place! Every surface no matter how high it was, was sparkling clean! The suite had nice high ceilings and even a balcony. My only complaint was that the bed was advertised as a King size but only a double in the room so my feet hung off the end. Upon check out I had a very important thing that I really needed help sorting out, I called the front desk and a well spoken man by the name of Dorin went completely out of his way to assist me. Dorin with the assistance of Ana, was able to find the perfect solution to solve my problem and save the day! I can't thank both of them enough! Thank you Dorin! Thank you for Ana!
