The most nice and cosy place to stay right in the middle of Covent garden. We stayed in 2a with 2 bedrooms, 2 great bathrooms and one big livingroom and kitchen. Terrific on all levels! At the moment they are building right infront of the apartments but they start at 08:00 so If you dont need your beautysleep after that - book this place! We love it 😍
We stayed in the 3 bedroom. Each room had a bathroom. Apartment was newly renovated with generous spaces, contemporary styling, beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were posh. Very modern! TVs in each room (but no remotes). Excellent location in the heart of Covent garden area close to everything (tube, Covent Garden square, National Gallery, British museum). Access to the unit was easy. Perfect set-up for a family of two adults and two large teens. Only drawback was they only provide one set of keys. Laundry was a plus although the dryer feature of the appliance was fairly useless (But this was true of every laundry system we used in Europe, many places didn’t even have dryers). We had an issue with a door and property management sent someone right away. It was easy to get a hold of property management if you needed them. The 3 bedroom is an exceptionally lovely unit. Clean, bright, open and spacious with high ceilings on the top floor (there is an elevator). I would estimate it is 1700 -1800 sq ft. A large family or family staying in London for an extended period would really enjoy staying here. There’s no real views, but it was such a beautiful and comfortable space it made no difference to us. It was also off the main street so it was relatively quiet at night. Step outside the door and you are already in the heart of things. Our teens thought this was the best of the different luxury apartments we stayed on our trip.…
Honest rating is 4.5. Trip advisor doesn’t allow half points so i rounded it up to 5 to be fair because the half point deduction isn’t really because of anything major. The location is fantastic goes without saying. But i want to spend my review on talking about the service and my experience which i think is just as important as the location. First off i would like to say checking in was great. I requested for an early check-in and a late checkout by several hours. They confirmed the late checkout for me days before my departure which is very unusual. They usually tell you they can only tell you on the day itself cos most companies wanna maximize profit and try to squeeze as many booked nights as possible. On the check-in, I was told they need time to clean due to previous occupants so it would be difficult but they would try. I didn’t want to push the issue because i didn’t wanna rush the cleaning staff and end up with a half assed cleaning job so i told them not to worry about it. I arrived early as planned thinking of hanging out at a nearby cafe after depositing my bags inside the building’s corridor. To my surprise, the ladies that were exiting the building at the same time i was coming in asked for me by name and if i was checking into the apartment. I said yes - they were like, oh great we just finished cleaning it here are your keys. So i was able to get in early. The apartment was cleaned perfectly. My worries were for nothing. They did a very professional job and it was done well. To my point: i’ve stayed at various Aparthotels before in London. The biggest being Sonder as a direct comparison. The experience is totally different. With Sonder you can basically forget about an early check-in. They truly have grown to be a corporate with automated rules and lots of service issues like accessibility problems to the apartments - wrong codes and keys etc and hours of wait time and promises from their staff on the phone but without actually delivering what they promise. (Save for a few very friendly call agents at Sonder based in the US), the company has utterly lost all its appeal due to the horrendous service. Needless to say the difference experienced at Cove with their quality of service was unexpectedly good and took me by surprise (as i was used to the terrible service quality from other companies in this business) Inside the apartment, the decor was lovely, design was casual bohemian luxe. I loved the soap series they used in the bathroom, in support of a small Norfolk soap maker called Sop. Really great stuff. I ended up buying some for myself too. Halfway through my stay, i was told the cleaners would come by to clean up and bring fresh linens and towels. Wow. Ok. That’s definitely a plus. Didn’t expect this either. This is complimentary if you stay more than a week. One of the days I locked myself out - the door has two locks, i usually only lock the bottom lock, for some reason when the door slammed shut as i left it must have latched the top lock due to the force. When i arrived back i realized they only provided me with the key to the bottom lock. Naturally i couldn’t open the door. I called the property manager several times and couldn’t reach her, so i tried their main line where i managed to get someone. They promised me someone would call me back. Indeed within 10min i received a call from the property manager asking me what happened. I told her, she said she would check if someone was nearby to unlock and bring me the key for the top lock. Within 5min, she called me back telling me someone would arrive within 10min to settle the issue. OK, not great that i didn’t have the other key (human error that they forgot this i’m not fussing, plus it was my fault even though the top lock engaged by accident). But the point of this story was that within 10min, to the dot, the cleaner arrived with the key. I know it shouldn’t be so impressive when someone delivers with what they said they would, but when try renting aparthotels like this in London and then come and tell me if you agree or not. Further, i realized when i checked in that the dishwasher door slightly came off the hinge when i had checked in, but i left it thinking its not worth to bother them with this. However since Lilian the property manager contacted me to let me know there would be a cleaning mid week, i mentioned the dishwasher door to her. She said she would get them to look at it during the cleaning. I came back and it was done. Fixed. She wasn’t just saying it to be polite. Basically, these were the small things that made me very impressed. They deliver on what they promise. This is worth alot in my opinion. Why did i deduct half a point? Its small and again i’m not fussed about it but i think its always good to give constructive criticism to improve the business. Firstly: there was sadly no air conditioning and it was very hot in summer but they did provide fans so it was bearable. And i know its not their fault since they cannot just suddenly install airconditioning in an old building. Secondly: i did not get the key to the top lock but i never would have noticed or been aware of this had i not triggered it by accident. Thirdly: communicating with customer service via text messaging sometimes didn’t work so well. I received the message a day before telling me the apartment would be serviced tomorrow. I didn’t know about the complimentary cleaning so i was confused by this and thought it was like maintenance or repairs. I texted back to ask but didn’t get a response immediately like i am used to for other ApartHotel service providers . I guess they don’t have someone monitoring it at all times. So calling is much quicker. When i called i got my clarification instantly. Lilian very kindly explained it to me. So in all, although they could improve on the sms service response time, they are still far better than other places that respond instantly yet commit to promises or tasks that they just fail to deliver. Last but not least: there is a building next to this one just over a narrow street under construction, its noisy during the day but i knew that as it was pre-informed. Didn’t bother me as i was out most of the day but thought its worth mentioning as it might bother someone else. Also there is no view to speak of from the windows just a construction building. But again it didn’t bother me. Overall it was extremely professional, very well maintained and managed. I really hope they keep this service quality and standard. It will keep me going back to them again and again.…
Beautiful space. Everything was clean and tidy. Lots of space for the three of us traveling. Excellent location as well, close to pubs/restaurants/shopping. Only negative was there is loud construction going on across the street that wasn’t disclosed to us upon booking. Other than that, would definitely stay again!
This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed at cove and we absolutely love it! Lilian was brilliant in helping us organise and the location and decor of the apartment was perfect!! Would definitely recommend staying here!
High quality apartments with good security. Cove looked after us very well 'digitally' from start to finish. Its located in a great location for visiting all central areas of central London quickly on foot or by taxi. Covent garden, restaurants, theatres are only a stones throw away. Ensure that you read all instructions they give you properly or you'll not get in as this is not a manned property. It suited us brilliantly but non tech savvy people may get confused easily. Take printouts with you as these have the codes on to get in. Cove are a very honest operator advising beforehand of a very large building being demolished in front of their premises. At weekend its fine but as from Monday morning it became extremely noisy and sleep wasn't possible as they start early. Its a great place to stay and I wouldn't have any hesitation using them again. Parking is extremely hit and miss and expect the car park you've booked in advance to be full, so do your home work or try to obtain a permit as London is not user friendly to drivers passing through. And if your driving around the city ensure you register for LEZ and the Congestion charge.…
Cove is my favorite place in london Its safe and clean and close to everything I love how easy to book and check in I love the space and how cosy it is I just found the pillows a bit harder this time and the mattress need to be changed I wish if they provide tissues And the bathroom need ventilation But still its my favorite place and i will always stay in cove when im in london
This is a stunning apartment! Very clean, beautifully furnished and in a great location. I loved the idea of self check in, it was like going into my own flat and really felt like home. Great customer service from the staff. I will definitely stay at the Cove again and I would recommend it to anyone coming to London.
Everything was excellent apart from the noise outside from revelers and taxis which kept me awake until the very small hours. Some better glazing would make a huge difference and would make this an absolutely fantastic option for my weekly stay in London, especially given it is about 50 yards from my offices.
Our first visit was last Christmas as a family. Stayed in the penthouse. Stunningly furnished with all the mod cons you would ever need. Returned without the kids as it’s an ideal base to see all of London. Booked again for Christmas. Can’t fault it.!
