Stayed here for four nights as my mums in kings colleges hospital and I couldn't have asked for a nicer hotel to stay in. The staff were helpful and friendly and even gave me a discount card when I thought I would have had to extend my stay. I would highly recommend staying here if your ever visiting Camberwell!

We frequently stay at this gem of a hotel in South London when visiting our son & family. It is a charming & very welcoming small hotel. If you wish for huge bedrooms with awe inspiring views & need a lift to upper floors read no further. However in other respects it is a great base for seeing London with... More

Firstly the location is not good at all. Camberwell is very far from the centre. I can only presume that those saying that the location is good do not wish to see London. There is also a very rough council estate down the road. Parking is a nightmare if you are planning on parking on the road. The man on... More

This is not normally the type of place we end up in, but we had a good stay! Arrived late in the night; the car service from the airport was reluctant to drop us off here, and checked it all out himself before he let us out of the car. That said, we all felt totally comfortable and safe our... More

A drum roll please and round of applause for The Church Street Hotel, 28-33 Camberwell Church Street, SE5. I had an unexpected two week stay there recently during a torrid time. The lovely Anthony and also Diana at this hotel were completely wonderful. The epitome of "the kindness of strangers " and I want to publicly thank them for making... More

We had a bad trip to Lisondon arrived on Tuesday and in a&e by Wednesday. This hotel made it a so much easier to deal with. The staff are all lovely, chatty, cheerful and just a pleasure to talk to and be around. The rooms are thoughtful, we were in the attic rooms I thought "oh dear, we're going to... More

This introduction is going to sound overly negative and critical, and perhaps undeservedly so, but this hotel has a lot of good points too (hence the plethora of positive reviews) so if you’re patient enough, these will come later. So I booked to stay for 2 nights in a single off-suite room with a shared bathroom (Habitacion Poblito solo). Was... More

I stayed for two nights at the Church Street Hotel and found the accommodation to be just what I had expected. There is no tea or coffee in he room but it is available in the bar for free and is far higher quality than you would normally get. There is an honesty bar and DVDs available for the rooms.... More

We visited the hotel whilst visiting London to watch a gig at electric Brixton and we were not disappointed. The parking was hard to find on the sat nav but once at the hotel we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful decor and theme. Staff were helpful and the room was perfect. The bed was comfy and the honesty bar... More

Having stayed at the Church Street Hotel previously we knew to expect a lovely oasis in busy Camberwell, and we weren't disappointed. The quirky decor, based on a hispanic theme is welcoming and comfortable. Continental breakfast choce is limited but tasty and you can have as much as you like. Disappointed to find Angels and Gypsies restaurant which was attached,... More
