Overall I love all the Firmdale properties and truly look forward to my London visits just to relax in this special place with in a busy city. The design my Kit Kemp is consistent in all the properties including in NYC which is comforting however some highlights include as follows:
*The furniture is THE MOST COMFORTABLE across the board. Its as if they're customized and overstuffed - bed, couch, side chairs, pillows, etc. The walls are padded which absorb all the sound from outside and the windows (some massive) are double (if not more) pane. The TV is easy to operate including the fact that it will stay on the same channel where you left off (as opposed to most hotels where the tv resets to the hotel channel after every usage). The bathroom is fully covered in attractive marble, the shower is absolutely glorious with full heat and pressure, the tub in a soaking tub and so inviting and the towels are extra large and plush. The outlets (USB and regular) and light switches are plentiful and strategically placed. Staff are always welcoming and attentive. Although I have status with other hotel chains, this is my go to London destination - hands down. Property also offers full bar and dining in the lobby, an honor bar cozy shared room off the lobby (with food/drink 24x7 that you simply sign out to charge to your room), pool, gym and lobby.

We recently spent 2 nights at this wonderful hotel. From the minute we arrived to checking out the service was superb. The room exceeded our expectations. We had room 311 on the 3rd floor. It was very spacious and immaculately clean. The decor in the hotel is beautiful and The room was amazing. Very comfy queen size bed . The room was very quiet and we didn't get disturbed by any road noise despite being yards from a very busy area.

The staff are all very professional and friendly. We dined in the Brumus restaurant on our first night and took advantage of the pre theatre 3 course meal, amazing value for approximately £23 per head. The waiter who served us was Zoltz ; apologies if that's spelt incorrectly. He is a credit to the hotel and deserves a special mention. The Concierge was also very helpful so thanks to him too. When we arrived he gave us a short four of the hotel including the swimming pool. It looked fantastic and we will definitely use it on our next visit.

All in all a wonderful experience. We will be recommending to friends and hope to return again soon. Stay here you won't regret it!

I began visiting The Haymarket in 2007 and in the last 15 years I return time and time again as quality and ambiance never faults at this hotel. For many years i enjoyed the bar and restaurant, sometimes on a weekly basis. Latterly i have combined using these spaces with staying at the hotel now i no longer live in London. It’s clear staff recruitment and staff training are high on Firmdale’s list of priorities. I have found this after visiting all the Firmdale chain (including New York). The Haymarket will always hold a special place for me as i also had my wedding reception there (so some would say i’m biased) From breakfast, through lunch, onto cocktails and into dinner, The Haymarket has never lost its desire to strive for exactly what the customer wants. Many staff have been there for as long as I have been visiting and yet after all this time they still work with a need to fulfil a customer’s needs. The rooms are sublime. Firmdale’s interiors are world renowned and this is evident in every individually designed room. The quality in every room continues to astound me. From the amazing beds, to the linen, the bathroom fit outs and the furnishings. We left london 6.5 hrs ago and when we return we wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else. From the moment you walk into the Haymarket there is an air of calm, even on the busiest of days. Staff never fail to smile, constantly give eye contact and welcome anyone wanting to look around at the stunning interior. The award winning pool downstairs will capture your imagination the moment you dip your toe in the water. Please venture to this hotel and ask to see the shooting gallery, this private function space will leave you dreaming of wanting to dine there with friends. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Having just spent a week there I’m now back home looking forward to a return trip later this year. Thanks Mark and the whole team at the Haymarket for yet another memorable stay.

We had a wonderful weekend stay at The Haymarket Hotel for our anniversary. It was also the Lunar Chinese New Year, and the hotel is perfectly located between Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. Brumus is a hive of activity, but there is a drawing room with tranquil candles and relaxing vibe. The super king size bed, Egyptian Cotton sheets, black out blinds enable a peaceful night sleep. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

We first stayed at Haymarket 10 years ago and loved it. If anything, it has only gotten better with time. Our junior suite was spacious, well appointed, and in excellent condition. Fabulous shower, extremely comfortable bed and bedding, and whisper quiet room (they have inner and outer windows for extra sound and weather insulation). The service was impeccable. The restaurant and bar (where we spent a fair bit of time with our friends) were great. And tucked away in a library type room is an honesty bar that is open 24 hours. Finally, this is a fabulous location with the entrance on quiet Suffolk Place but walking distance to nearly everywhere you might want to visit (especially West End theaters). This may be our favorite hotel in the world for the whole package.

There is a lot to like about the Haymarket Hotel, and we thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay.

Some of the positives:
Great location on Haymarket directly across from Her Majesty's Theater
Very friendly and accommodating staff
Good size room with large bathroom and large walk-in closet
Very comfortable bed
Room was very quiet - almost no outside noise and no inside noise at all
Enjoyable breakfasts at Brumus restaurant

We only had a few minor housekeeping issues. Also the hotel does not routinely provide in-room coffee making facilities. However, they do provide a morning "coffee tray" if you request it.

Overall, this was one of our favorite hotel experiences and we highly recommend the Haymarket Hotel.

This is a 50-room hotel around the corner from Trafalgar Square. It is attached to Theatre Royal Haymarket. It is an understated and very stylish property that is luxurious, quiet, and very modern. We stayed five nights, one in a junior suite and then in a deluxe room on the first floor facing Suffolk Place with a small outdoor space like a Juliet balcony. We made the switch because of a booking glitch handled quickly and satisfactorily by the hotel. Both rooms were large and decorated with flair and a unique sense of style. There was plenty of closet space and room to unpack. There were two large window-doors leading to the balconies. The lighting was excellent and there were plenty of outlets. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable, as was the bedding. The headboard was fabulous in color and fabric. The towels were Frette. The bathroom was lovely and equipped with double sinks and a bidet. Breakfasts consisted of a small buffet of fruits, including delicious berries, breads, pastries, cereals, and yogurt, as well as an ala carte menu. English breakfast and eggs Benedict were wonderful. Staff were uniformly welcoming, professional, and eager to provide exceptional service. They epitomize excellence in running a fine hotel that is a great retreat and somewhere you crave returning to. In particular, Amine, the clef d'or concierge, was tremendous. We had written some time before arrival to ask whether the hotel could secure tickets to a certain play which was difficult to book. He went personally to the box office days running in order to try. He was ultimately successful and we were able to see the play. This was one stellar example of the kind of service he graciously provides. He is a treasure. Without question, this is the London hotel we will return to. It felt like home.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Haymarket with our 2 children (8 and 4). We were there for 3 nights and we stayed in the luxury junior suite. The room was so brightly decorated, my kids squealed for joy the first time they walked in (after a very long flight from Singapore!). It was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was big and bright, and they even had cute little kits for the kids with soap, shampoo and lotion. The bed was incredibly comfortable. But even the sofa bed was great and the kids had no complaints at all. We ate breakfast at the hotel restaurant all 3 mornings of our stay and it was delicious. The decor of the restaurant was also vibrant and colorful! Lots of cozy sitting areas near the lobby for when our friends were meeting us at the hotel. My son made daily use of the chess set in the library. All in all it was a charming place and we would gladly return when we go back to London next!

My adult daughters and I spent a weekend at The Haymarket, to get some Christmas shopping under our belts.
The hotel is absolutely beautiful and is perfectly located for shopping, eating out and going to the theatre.
We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a Junior Suite, which was spacious and very comfortable. The bathroom was enormous, with a separate shower, a bath with a TV at the "foot end", two basins, a lavatory, a bidet, three towel rails and a seat.
The beds were divinely comfortable, the air conditioning efficient and quiet. Although we were in central London, we slept like babies.
Breakfast was absolutely excellent and was served until a very civilized 11 am.
There are two other particular features of the hotel that we adore;
-The swimming pool. Although it is in the basement, it is illuminated by a gently colourful, continuously changing light display, which is gorgeous. The pool itself is about 20 m long.
There are sofas and comfy chairs by the pool, making it a pleasant place to sit and read.
-The other notable is the charming friendliness of all the staff, which makes the hotel feel very homely.

In short, it was a perfect base for a Christmas Shopping weekend.
