When we arrived at our loft style apartment we were very pleasantly surprised. It was clean, spacious and very unique. We stayed in the old buildings and they are full of character. Number 52 was our apartment and consisted of a large open plan living area and kitchen. Two en suite bedrooms with double beds and over shower baths. It... More

Visited for 3 nights in July during a very warm spell of weather for London . Arrived and the staff were pleasant and friendly. Apartment was clean but hot as all the windows were closed. Fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Bathroom was clean but the shower was not that big. The flats are right beside the railway tracks. So it... More

Noisy small and in July very hot apartment. Poor service and staff who do not seem to care and provides very limited equipment etc. we were very disappointed as not like the photographs or description on website . The apartment we were in was situated on the top floor with the main rail lines into London bridge passing by every... More

Really practical apartment based accomodation. Apartments are compact and well designed to make a London stay easy and within easy walk from the Tower of London, cafes, local supermarket and transport.

My wife and I spent 2 nights staying here. We arrived at 3:00 am, after arriving by air and driving from airport. Reception staff were really good - pleasant, helpful and efficient. Our apartment was luxurious - great lounge, kitchen (we did not really need), bathroom and bedroom. Recommend disabled ask for ground floor apartments, as 3 story buildings with... More

I'd previously read some average reviews about The Maltings, but all I can say, is the Apartment 82A was clean, amazingly quiet, had every facility one could wish for, and the staff were always helpful and friendly. If I was to nit pick, the only things that I would suggest the would improve the experience is that they service the... More

Just returned from a 3 night stay with my husband and another couple. Superb location, spotlessly clean and staff were very helpful. We had a 2 bed 2 bathroom apartment on the 3rd floor. Would absolutely recommend this accommodation. Great base for exploring the sights of London.

We had a great time at the apartment. It was cosy, clean, convenient and easy to access. The kitchen was ready to use. It would have been better if some cleaning & dish washing fluid was also kept. Overall - very good experience.

Staying in Southwark

Neighborhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
