Fantastic dinner at High Road House wonderful Cod followed by a delicious Chocolate mousse, but the highlight was the service received from our waiter Joseph. Nothing was too much trouble- felt like dinner in a 5* hotel! Bravo Joseph- recommended!
Part of the Soho House family & offering all the aspects which make this group so appealing. The location is on buzzy, charming Chiswick High Road, a terrific shopping & dining neighbourhood. As a solo traveller I opted for the entry level room 'Tiny' which was actually not a bad size for London, beautifully formed & with plenty of natural light. Usual chic but comfy styling, with lux bed linens, good sized telly & bijou but high spec bathroom. What this group always get so right in my experience is the attention to detail & thoughtful in-room touches. Lots of sockets, well placed mirrors, fresh milk, wide ranging beverage & snack & drinks tray, not to mention phone charger, adaptor & hair straighteners. Plus of course, the full sized array of Cow Shed products. It is a good place to stay if you happen to have forgotten much of your cosmetic kit as I did, with everything from toothpaste to deodorant to condoms provided!! Despite the busy road setting, my room was pretty quiet & I enjoyed a peaceful sleep. The reception team were friendly & efficient, & food in the Brasserie was good. The restaurant is open to the public but the 2nd floor bar is kept for members & is a lovely, relaxed but glossy space with attentive service. Turnham Green Tube is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Great stay, would recommend.…
The High Road house team made my friend's birthday lunch really special Excellent service, great food - the fries were exceptional - with cosy, warm safe outdoor seating. Plus a charming surprise of a candle surrounded by scrummy salted caramel chocolates. Thanks Joseph!
We had a dinner with my family last night, I must say it was one of the best experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant. The place is usually busy, so it’s better to book in advance. After we waited around 15 mins we were escorted to our table, which was inside on a banquette seat. Menus are on QR codes, which I thought was very smart avoiding menus being passed around. Ruben was our waiter suggested to have soho house singanture cocktails, picante and soho mule which were excellent. Food and service was just even better, cod and the pork chops were exceptional. We left extremely satisfied, they keep eye on details, lighting, cleanliness, we felt very safe in this uncertain times due covid. We will be definitely back.
This boutique hotel is pure luxury. From the super-king bed with gorgeous sheets to the cowshed toiletries (including Cowshed hand sanitizer) and powerful waterfall shower, we felt look after and so spoiled staying here. Inspired by the great interiors of High Road House we shopped in some local antique and interior stores during the day! We had dinner in the Brasserie which was buzzing and the staff go above and beyond, best service I have had in any London restaurant. Steak Tartare was a must have. At night, the hotel room was very quiet. Breakfast in bed! Thank you for the stay!
The staff really made our stay here, they're efficient and go out of their way to make your stay extra special. Really lovely rooms, great location, overall a fabulous stay. I liked it so much I booked for my parents to stay for my fathers birthday, and from what they said they loved to. Again the staff went out of their way to make sure my dad has a lovely birthday.
If there’s one thing about the Soho House chain of restaurants that are open to the public (as opposed to their private clubs), you can’t go wrong with their winning formula of great decor, buzzy atmospheres, friendly and professional service, decent menus and good food. You’ll often need to book ahead at weekends, whether for brunch, lunch or dinner, but if there two or four of you then you may not need to wait long. If you’re not sure where to go in Chiswick, then this is the easy best choice. And if you need somewhere to stay afterwards, the bedrooms above are among the smallest and most comfortable you will have ever experienced - they’re great. Oh, and a little secret: don’t worry if you’re not a member and can’t get into the club on the first floor: this isnt their finest (though nearby TV Centre is amazing) and the ground floor public space is just as good and more lively…
My wife and myself had lunch today with a good friend in Turnham Green who had pre-booked one of the two alcove tables at the High Road House which - as the name suggests - is one of many Cafes/Restaurants on the High Street. This turned out to be an excellent move as the property was almost full on our arrival and - as such - rather noisy but having an alcove table made our meal that much more enjoyable. Service was excellent from the outset and we were soon enjoying our drinks as well as placing our respective orders. I opted for the excellent 3 Course option for £19 and each course - Pumpkin Soup (one of the best I have tasted), Bavette Steak (ordered medium/well and it was cooked to perfection) and cheese (three different ones accompanied by chutney and grapes) - was excellent. Certainly no complaints on my part! With both my wife and friend being equally content, I would certainly be more than happy to pay a return visit as well as encourage others to try out the High Road House for themselves. Based on my experience, they won’t be disappointed!…
Had a lovely dinner here last night. They were able to accommodate our large group at short notice and we had a great table with even better service. Our waiter Joseph made the evening - service with a smile and nothing was too much trouble - a real star!
We had a lovely dinner for 10 for a friend’s birthday - great service - our waiter Joseph was brilliant and attentive! Food was delicious and very generous portions. Nice relaxed atmosphere, will definitely return.
