Palmers Lodge Swiss Cottage garners positive feedback for its inviting atmosphere and cleanliness, with many guests finding the privacy curtains and charging points in the rooms particularly commendable. However, some visitors find the rooms to be on the cramped side, voicing concerns about noise and a shortage of power outlets.
The hotel's staff earns accolades for their friendly and efficient service, although a few guests recount less than professional interactions. The location is often lauded for its convenience to public transport, enhancing the hotel's appeal to travelers exploring London.

Detailed Reviews
It was definitly the best hostel Iever been in London, the staff is very kind, you have everything you need, the place is wonderful, the bed confy, and you have a kitchen, a bar, where you can meet people during some events like "fast friends" or during the karaoke.
It is very well located, don't hesitate, I highly recommend you this place :)

+1
Have stayed in this hostel two times, in a 6 bed female room.
Good place for London, not in the city centre but near a bus stop (20 mins journey to the city) and 2 underground stations. Finchley road is the nearest.
My floor had two bathrooms, female only and male - the showers in the cabins are right opposite the toilets. The windows are open so it's quite chill, but you can use other floor's bathrooms if you want. There's a hairdryer.
The beds have curtains, electric sockets and lights - imo that's the best thing a hostel can have.
There is a key card, free luggage storage - so i left my bag until check-in and after check out and walked around (great neighbourhood!)
McDonalds and Sainsbury's (in the mall) are nearby.
There's a bar at the ground floor, highly recommend. Breakfast £4, but I thought it's a bit much so didn't get it.
Lockers are free, but you need your own lock (£2 at reception), mind these are old thick lockers, so some locks may not fit.
Towels are for rent £2.
The lounge has free hot water and coffee for £1.
Second time of my stay there were a lot of teenagers on a trip and the noise was unbelievable. I wish the hostel didn't let children stay. But usually it's pretty chill.
A kitchen would be awesome. or at least free breakfast.
Overall, good experience, i'd stay again.

Hey zerothirteen, Thank you for the review! I am glad that you enjoyed the location aswell as the style and décor of the hotel. As for the noise you are most certainly welcome to report this to our front desk team who will be able to solve this issue straight away. As we are a boutique hostel we pride ourselves in offering cheap accommodation for all types of guests to showcase our great city and sometimes finding a balance to make everybody's stay can come with it's challenges. Future reference though we do have a kitchen! It's just next to the bar, it's small but mighty. Once again thank you for your comments and being a valued guest, we hope to see you again soon! Kind Regards, Josh Team Palmers

ENJOY !!!

The Hostel ist very close to the tube (Jubilee line). The Staff are friendly and helpful. Best thing are the curtains on each bunk, they give you a lot of privacy. I stayed here at two weekends in a female dorm, each time everything was tidy and clean.

i had a 24-bed-dorm but it vas very big and quiet. Indeed, the dorm is divided in 2 floors. On 2 second floor, you only have single bed (no bunk beds). Many beds have an electric socket. However I was assigned a bed without any. Fortunatelyn the staff agreed to swap beds as the dorm was not full.

Hey in t, Great to hear you got sorted out - there are only a few beds without sockets and we do our very best not to allocate our guests there when we can. We'd love to add another 4 sockets next to every bed but we are unfortunately limited by what we can do with the age of the building (140 years!) prohibiting any serious changes. Thanks so much for staying, come back soon! - Tom, Hostel Manager

Horrible experiencia, no vamos a volver y tampoco a recomendar.

Dear Customer, We are very sorry to hear about your experience. We always advise our customers not to leave any valuables inside the lockers under the beds, instead we provide safes at reception. A warning message is printed above every locker and we are doing our best to keep our customers safe at all time. We cannot assume any responsibility and we hope that our customers will take extra precautions when it comes to cash, phones, laptops and any other personal belongings. Our reception team tried to help you with this claim, however, the local police decided not to investigate this case any further and this is beyond our control. We are very sorry for your experience, Kind Regards,

My favorite place to stay in London, I always book there when I visit the city. Friendly staff, very clean, excellent location , powerful wifi everywhere in the building, a kitchen you can use, free tea and coffee all day, what more do you want?

Hi,
Unfortunately we don't have bathtubs in our hostel, only showers.
Check-in time is 2pm
Yes, there is a large parking. No need to book in advance.
On the ground floor there is a single shower cubicle which is along side 3 toilets in a bathroom area. This is a co-ed space but only 1 shower which is a completely enclosed self contained with floor to ceiling door kind of cubicle. Totally private and I would suggest appropriate for an 11 year old.
