I was a regular customer, staying there about 12 times a year from 3 years. Quite expensive for the budget hostel, but I liked the location and the multicultural, relaxed backpackers atmosphere, sometimes interesting people there as well. But... The last time I had booked there a bed in the 6 female bedroom (for 27 pounds) 5 WEEKS AHEAD and... More

Location is good and very close to underground, room was clean as well as showers, breakfast was tasty and worth the money: Coffee, tea, croissants, muffins, bread with jam. I have stayed there for only one night but would come again!

The atmosphere of the place is amazing. Everyone is friendly and the staffs are nice too. The shower room is clean and there's no queue to go in. Plenty of hot water available for your shower in the cold chilly morning. Overall I'd say it's a lovely place, the tube station is just down the road. However I do like... More

Palmers Lodge is, by far, one of the best hostels i've ever stayed in. The staff is very accommodating and the rooms and bathrooms are spotless. All of the beds have curtains so you have your privacy.

I spent a couple of nights in a big female dorm. Basic dorm but fine for the price. Clean. Excellent location and beautiful old building. All you need is there. Bar, lounge, wifi, free ear plugs! Staff was very lovely and helpful. Very convenient and welcoming, fairly priced.

I came down to London for a 1 day trip and needed a cheap, safe, clean place to stay overnight. The hostel is ideally situated in central London and about 5 mins from the local tube station. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean and tidy. Free tea/coffee and wi-fi were an added bonus. If you are... More

Stayed here before, and was happy to do so again for three nights, mid-week. It's well placed for north London and easy bus or tube into central London. It's also handy for local attractions, not far from Hampstead Heath -- and on Wednesday mornings, there's even a farmers' market close by. This time, I booked a private room -- a... More

I loved the place: friendly and very helpful staff, nice building, free tea and coffee at all hours. It was also very clean (except for the very small kitchen, but I guess that was the guests' fault). There are curtains in each bed, so you can have a small amount of privacy and there are reading lights above each bed.... More
