Short walk from tube in lovely area & east to find. On arrival we were told we were being upgraded, excitedly we hurried to our apartment, upon opening the door and entering, I'd be lying if initially we weren't somewhat disappointed... Very basic, walls patched up, pull out bed didn't look like you'd feel safe sleeping on it, internal doors... More

This hotel has very Small apartments and nothind to do with the pictures No one to help picking up the bags and the service is very very poor, it is a big building and very very old. The location is very good and it's close to metro station. The smell inside the rooms is bad and the view from room... More

Arrived early after getting off a flight from Australia. Very tired so we thought we would enquire anyway if our room would be ready any earlier. Guy behind reception barely acknowledged us and bluntly told us 2pm check in. We understand rooms have to be cleaned and that they are busy but there was no real care factor or effort... More

About the only thing going for this hotel is the location- centre of London. We arrived and our room was absolutely nothing like the photos and nothing like what was promised on booking. The room was akin to a college dorm room. Light fixture coming away from the ceiling, no ventilation, mould in the shower, broken tiles.... The bed was... More

Room we stayed in (on 8th floor) was very dated and small (probably 300sq ft, if that). We stayed there for nearly two weeks and the hallway had a different bad smell almost every single time we got to our floor. The lobby is nice, but almost always filled with luggage and people waiting. It's an adequate place to stay... More

We had room 847 which was located near one of the lift shafts, so not too far to walk for anyone wanting a handy sited apartment. We found our room adequate for our needs. As we weren't in the room for long apart from sleeping it was all that was needed. I agree the rooms aren't very modern BUT they... More

We always use Chelsea cloisters when we are travelling into London with family. The location is amazing for all the sites and tube links. It is also position in a nice quiet safe spot. The apartments are always clean and have everything you need. Our maid was lovely and did a great job. For what you pay I cannot think... More

Rating as "average" as the quality is okay and fairly reasonable taking into account the pricing (given the location). Wasn't the quote "Location, location, location"? That's about it No sorry, it is quite good, appartment-like, somewhat out-dated building but all works pretty well. There is a small little bar just behind the elevators, should be worth visiting (only had a... More

Had a great little apartment, newly refurbished and immaculate. Well appointed kitchenette with everything, although there was hot plates and a microwave there was no oven unfortunately. Bathroom was very fresh and clean and the bed comfortable. Sadly, although I requested a quiet room by e-mail before my visit, and was assured it was on checking it - the reality... More

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
