Rose & Crown seems to have managed to remain a pub, offer a good restaurant and be a hotel - and, from observation, do all three well although our actual experience is confined to the hotel. Large, well-appointed room and bathroom, large comfortable bed, good wifi, cable television. Quiet (Almost). No noise from the bar or the carpark. The hotel...

Hi Richard G Many thanks for your review, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay with us and enjoyed your hotel room. Sorry about the noise from the other guests and not holding it against us. I have passed on your comments to Jetta (the lady who was trying to explain the Marmite issue) it gave her a good laugh that...

This is why TripAdvisor needs a rating out of 10: this was a good dinner, but not a 4 and not a 3: 3.5 or about 7/10 is about right. Good pub food, nothing wrong, just not as good as 8/10 and not bad, so not a 6/10. It was 7/10. I personally think places like Cau, Cote and even...

The Rose and Crown is one of the pubs in our village. It's a great pub. Good for excellent full meals in the bar with / without your dog or the restaurant. Great breakfasts, lunch and dinner. Great service and friendly staff. They also have hotel rooms. Have been coming here many years.

One of my favourite pubs to pop into as it always delivers what an English pub should, great beer and good food. There's usually a busy bar at peak times, but staff are well trained, polite and interested in ensuring people enjoy their visit. The Rose and Crown offers a good selection of beers, usually an interesting guest beer for...

A dozen or so of us had booked for lunch and arrived dripping wet after one of the wettest mornings this month. Food and drink was of a high standard and arrived quickly - very welcome on a day like that. The staff were efficient and friendly and we were made welcome and comfortable.

Couldn't praise the staff more for friendliness and all you can wish in a pub. Including good beer ! Excellent rooms - very reasonable at £125. Food is homely with oversize helpings. And it has free parking which in Wimbledon is a real plus.

Very nice location in idyllic Wimbledon Village, traditional English pub and hotel. Superb location, you get a countryside feeling, but it's only a 10 min train ride to central London. The room was spacious and appeared new - very comfortable double bed. Bathroom was a bit on the tiny side, but fully functional and really good water pressure. There are...

You would expect it in Wimbledon Village - staff full of charming repartee and fellow customers similarly gregarious. In the run up to the rugby we had lunch and a few Pinot Grigios! My usual test - runny poached eggs - was passed in spades. We sat out the back in the sun. This was a great recommendation.

Just returned from a return visit over the weekend. Another brilliant stay. Breakfasts were excellent and filled us up for the rest of the day. The Sunday roasts looked wonderful, and I would imagine the taste was the same, because people were queuing at the door at opening time, and within half an hour all the tables were occupied. We...
