I stayed here for a conference recently. This was a very lovely hotel and the room was very comfortable and spacious. However little things annoyed me. There were consistently long wait for lifts to arrive. I also remember queuing for a considerable time to check in and check out again. Another annoyance was that a continental breakfast was included in... More

This hotel is fantastic. It's modern but not sterile and upscale but not snobby. It also happens to be in one of the nicest areas of London - St. Paul's. Also free and fast wifi. I am in London for two weeks every month for work and usually use the Grange as my base. The staff at the hotel is... More

I stayed at this hotel in early July on business. Service at checkin good and fast , varied continental breakfast , although I would have preferred to look for English breakfast, the scramble eggs were not very good . Great service and very convenient location near Millenium Bridge, St.Paul Cathedral and Tate Modern.........but above a whisper quiet room on the... More

excellent hotel, excellent location but with the drawback of being full of tourists, fine if you are one, not so if you are on business. Food was good, but only as expected. Try the roof bar, this puts you at eye level with the dome of St Pauls so close you could touch it, an the skyline of the city.... More

what a beautiful hotel, clean, sleek, modern and typically expensive. The roof bar is a must, eye level with the dome of St Pauls Cathedral, so close you can almost touch it and east towards the city skyline.

I enjoyed again my stay at The Grange St Pauls. This time I had the privilege of staying at a room with the best view... well at least I think compared to the last one. My window has views of the south side of St Paul's Cathedral which in my opinion the best room in the Hotel for Superior Double.... More

We stayed at this hotel for a family trip in Fall 2015. The hotel is located perfectly and is ideal for sightseeing. There are a few shops locally and restaurants too which are in walking distance. The rates are high however I imagine that's standard for London and a location like this. Minus was check in which took sometime -... More

With the view out of the bedroom window of St. Paul's we couldn't have chosen a better location for a flying visit to London. We were at the globe theatre in the afternoon and oxo tower in the evening - both are ten minutes walk from St. Paul's. Hotel had everything we needed and staff were friendly and professional. We... I booked this hotel through lastminute.om and i got a really good deal. This hotel is in an amazing location, its central BUT in a quiet location. We were given a room with an amazing corner room view of st Pauls Cathedral. I didnt think we would be given a room with that kind of view. The room itself was... More

Hotel check in was perfect. Really lovely and attentive staff. Pleasant public areas, albeit very corporate in feel. Got into room ..... NO signal on my phone at all. In no part of the room. Had to use wifi to make make skype/facetime calls which was very annoying. Also the music dock was so old the connection didnt even fit... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
