Spent a night here as a birthday treat for my wife & it did not disappoint. Very, very impressive when you enter - the large atrium is a fantastic space to sit & have a drink, and the spa facilities are very good too. The room we had was very nice & had everything we needed, great decor & an...

A great place to stay. Near everything. 20 min walk to Covent Garden. Very clean. We stayed in 367. Lovely very clean room. Fantastic roof top views to enjoy a nice drink on a warm evening and overlooking St Paul's. Lovely breakfast. Great pool and gym with sauna, etc. Would definitely stay again. Lively night time bar. A bit pricey...

Spent a night here for our anniversary and what a great location wishing walking distance to most things a great shopping centre which was very quiet and had all the shops you need! We also went to the roof top bar which again was 5 mins away! The rooms are a good size and had everything you needed. The continental...

Don't get me wrong, this hotel is beautiful. It is well equipped, clean and in a great location. However, none of that makes up for the disastrous stay we had. This hotel bills itself as luxurious. However, the service is very much "Travelodge" style. In the spa, the receptionist handed us a locker key and walked off leaving us wondering...

Pre dinner drinks in the elegant but rather cavernous bar, on a gloriously sunny evening. The bar was nearly deserted (given the weather, suspect the roof terrace was rammed), which left no excuse for service that moved at a glacial pace.

Seems daft to me to advertise this facility and when we arrive we were told it is only ever open for private bookings. The hotel was clean and comfortable. I find it unacceptable that service is added to bar bills even when you queue order and pick up your drinks from the bar. There is no additional service warranting tipping...

We stayed here for a quick overnight in London, and loved it! The rooms are high quality, as is are the restaurants on site. Beds were comfy, high quality sheets. Nice amenities in the bath as well - both of those are partly how I judge a hotel! We also loved that there were pubs within a brief walk where...

Great location for the city. I've stayed at this hotel four times now. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Concierge and door staff particularly good, but the standard overall is great. Rooms are good with nice furnishings, not huge, but adequate. Breakfast is always busy with a wide choice of foods to suit any diet. Getting a drink in the...

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
