I'm well aware that it's incredibly difficult to get a great hotel in London. I've stayed in overpriced alleged 5 star hotels and wondered how they ever got the stars for it. Grange Blooms is a very decent very nice little hotel, just behind the British Museum ( which for my purposes of research and work was pretty perfect). Nothing...

HOTEL’S FAVORITE REVIEW

I stayed at this hotel for business purposes and was pleasantly surprised at both size of the room and its calm location with a garden view. The standards of non-luxury hotels in London is often quite low but this was an exception: Clean, large room, quiet and comfortable bed. I had quite a bit to do with the staff as...

We stayed for for nights in January. Perfect location, West End and Soho in walking distance. The hotel is small and very charming, if you like Downton Abbey this is your place. Rooms are small and you do sometimes hear the neighbors, but nothing to really complain about. The only issue we had was the heater which was hard to...

The staff was either stellar or average. Our concierge was excellent, but that was not enough to make our stay a winner. Staff looked bored and not trained in hospitality, but that stems from the top down. I think of these hotels as akin to slum landlords...do the least you can to sell the room, ignore complaints, and wait for...

You reported a leak on the window frame which I believe was addressed at the hotel 3 months ago.

I needed a room in London after a Christmas party and I tend to stay in new-build 4* or 5* properties. However by booking late I was offered an incredible rate at Blooms and it was walking distance to the venue. The hotel is in a traditional row of townhouses just behind the British Museum. I was given a single...

Blooms Hotel is a nice, traditional english boutique hotel. Very quiet. Nice rooms, well equipped. Nice and helpful staff. 5 mn walking from the metro station. The room service, 24h is very useful and good

I had the "Dickens" Room and I must say it was lovely. Gorgeous big bed, comfy room and plenty toiletries. Magazines and newspapers in your room. Staff friendly. Breakfast lovely but pricey! I seriously recommend!!!

My room was quite small and not 100% clean. Quality of sleep was so and so as bed was not confortable and room was hot. And unfortunately noising at night due to street and pubs around. Forniture is British style, but it could have a refresh. Staff was kind. Breakfast is English and continental, essential with good choice of jams....

Positives to the room, good location, friendly staff. Quiet at night although my colleague in another room said the opposite. Negatives - No face cloths provided in the bathroom, considering the extortianate cost of the hotel things like face cloths should be a basic, didn't bring any with me so had to use towels to wash with. Cold tap in...

I've stayed in a number of Grange hotels in London and each room I've had is on a theme; dark wood furniture and heavy drapes, Blooms is no different though it feels a bit like upgrading at the larger Grange hotels has resulted in the cast off fixture and fittings being given to the smaller hotels. How many hotels of...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
