Under the threat of Coronavirus, we are worry and consider to cancel our trip to London and Lyon in coming March. Although we have a non refundable fully paid booking with Victoria One Apartment, they promptly agreed to fully refund us when we contact them. We are appreciated for their understanding and will definitely book them again when we visit London next time.
Our family member received an email yesterday saying the apartment was not available because of maintenance issues. 36 hours notice for a 7 night stay. Alternate accommodations offered are in the Docklands versus Westminster. Truly not even comparable location wise, etc. Appears this happened last year in July based on reviews. Their reasons are either it's maintenance or someone extended their stay(seriously any hotel would say there was no availability to the occupant). It our family's first trip to London. Our grandchildren are so excited. Cannot believe how unprofessional this management company is. Bait and Switch for sure. Of course they got their full payment upfront with no cancellation months ago. Can't review the actual apartment because no one was given an opportunity to stay there. Buyer beware!…
Great apartment with all the facilities you need for a comfortable family stay. Great location for all the main sites and very close to public transport for getting around. The traffic noise can slightly noisey but apartmwnt from that a clean modern comfortable apartment.
Booked this apartment through online booking site 6 months before my family trip with 3 kids, asked for passport and credit card info one week before trip, emailed me back everything was good. Expecting access instruction 36 hours before my trip, instead got email told me the apartment will not be available because someone extended their stay. Offered alternative not in Victoria, cannot take it. Leave me panic looking for a place to stay and had to pay more. Not acceptable business practice. Buyer be aware, the next one could be you. Not even deserve one star.
Great location. Quiet and newly refurbished. Secure. However, when we arrived we were quite distressed to find that our room (which had been confirmed by email just the day before) had been rented to another tenant. We called the company (who were quick to answer) and they explained that they had to switch us to another room. Love that the room has a kitchen and washer/dryer. However, the dryer did not seem to work at all. Had to lay the clothes out to dry. Would probably stay here again.
Cannot really review Victoria One as we were not able to stay there. A couple days before our arrival, they claimed an issue with the apartment and offered us an "upgrade" at another property. We had planned to store our luggage at Victoria Station and sightsee before checking in. Since the new apartment was not near the area, they offered to let us leave the luggage in the apartment. Upon arrival, the first thing I noticed were greasy fingerprints above the headboard. I figured no big deal and we went out. The area we were in was dirty. We did find a decent place to eat and our waiter was very friendly and informative. We talked about shopping and he warned us to avoid several places as unsavory. The neighborhood was slowly gentrifying and would be nice "in a couple of years." Upon returning, the temperature was unbearable. We could not figure out how to get the air to work and upon contacting guest (and I use this next word more for comic effect) services discover there is no air - which was the main reason we booked Victoria One. Their recommendation was to open the windows. The windows provided a lovely view of the Salvation Army store and tenements across the way. With the incessant sound of sirens, we ended up making other last minute arrangements that cost a small fortune to escape this location. Add to this the cracked wall in the kitchen and the loose floor tiles in the bathroom (there was still a spacer where the grout had not been put in!) And you have a recipe for disaster. Oh, and the deadbolt failed after the first time we opened the lock! This company did nothing fix the situation or to satisfy us, instead costing us a lot of money and the loss of a day in London. Caveat emptor, you have been warned.…
Victoria One apartments was a great choice for our Canadian Family. The apartment had enough room for the four of us. In hindsight, I should have asked for a replacement mattress for the pull out couch as my daughter experienced back pain. Siren and street traffic noise is minimal and not a concern. There is an elevator in the building. For a family apartment, the layout is great, the bathroom is big, the bedroom is lovely and there is adequate space in the kitchen for a tiny bit of cooking. Our family recommends this apartment and would likely use the same accommodation on our next trip to London. It is less than a 10 minute walk to the Victoria Underground Station and Victoria Train Station.
2 double bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, fully kitted out kitchen and spacious lounge and dining area all for the price of a Standard 30 sq metre 'family room' in most London hotels where a family of 4 are normally tripping over each other. Lots of good eating options nearby (e.g. The Jugged Hare) and a Tesco Express and Little Waitrose just across the road. Victoria train station less than 10 minutes walk away so this place has it all. Only very minor issue is windows don't seem very well soundproofed so traffic noise (especially sirens) is audible. Highly recommended.
This is a great hotel/apartment for families. We stayed there for 2 nights and had zero complaints. Apartment was spacious, clean and in a great location. Even though there is no reception desk, check in was very easy. One Downside is that you can’t store luggag here if you arrive early. We used a LuggageHero a few blocks away. Would definatly recommend this place.
Great location for this apartment rental- close to Victoria station , which was about a 5 min walk away. Lots of restaurants, grocery store, pharmacy around. Apartment was clean, well stocked. Kitchen had enough cutlery, utensils for at least a week long stay. Would have appreciated having some essentials in the kitchen- like salt, pepper, sugar.Fridge, Dishwasher and washer all in house. There was adequate information on how use the amenities. Easy check in and check out process.Heater and hot water available. Overall happy with the facilities.
