This is the second time I stayed here. Still a very nice and beautiful Hotel. Every one was very friendly. We LOVED our room! Great Size and the Bathroom was also great. It was also very quiet and very comfortable. One minus point though and I think I mentioned it also the last time.. please please please put a Toilet brush in the Toilets... :)
Luxurious and beautiful hotel, with extremely comfortable beds and very friendly staff. We really enjoyed our stay for our wedding anniversary, and the swan towels, petals and prosecco was a lovely touch. Deposit returned quickly, would definitely recommend for a stay
So where to begin! This was booked as a treat for our 8yr old grandson's birthday, we booked an executive room on the understanding that this gave us access to the executive lounge, so we had somewhere to sit with our grandson and have a drink and a game of cards in the evening whilst enjoying some snacks before going down to dinner. We checked in and very little information was given to us upon check in, I asked what floor the executive lounge was on and was told the 5th floor which we thought was handy as we staying on that floor, we were asked if we had stayed there before and informed the receptionist that this was our first time, we were given our keys and so we went through the doors to the lift only to be called back as this was not the lifts that would be taking us to our rooms, had the receptionist explained the building and the services available the next would of been made clear. We go into our room which was clean but tiered although there was a black stain on the duvet cover, housekeeping had very kindly made up the sofa bed for our grandson which was appreciated and we had 3 sets of towels and dressing gowns for us to use. After dropping our bags in the room we thought we'd go and have a quiet drink in the executive lounge after a very long day in London, so we walked round the entire 5th floor and couldn't see any signs for the lounge, the signage in the hotel is not the clearest, so we went back to the room and called reception on the phone in the living area as the handset next to our bed was not plugged in! After speaking with two different receptionists we discovered that the executive lounge and the spa area were not actually open! No mention of this when we booked or on the website and no offer of a discount whilst on the phone. Now feeling a bit fed up we though we'd go down to the bar area and order a drink and some supper only to be told that the hotel doesn't do food, or have any draught beers or spirits so my G&T was not available and my husband had to have bottled beer, they didn't have apple juice for my grandson either. We were told that we could get a meal in the Chinese restaurant next door, this would of been fine if we hadn't got our 8yr old grandson with us who like many of 8yr old children would of eaten chicken balls and chips but not authentic Chinese! Plan C we ordered Uber eat and ended up eating it on our grandsons bed as the sofa was his bed and ready for him to sleep in. His meal was delivered cold and at a different time due to us having to order from two different places, not the Saturday evening that we had planned. The housekeeping staff did kindly bring us some plates and cutlery and I couldn't fault them as nothing was to much of a problem for them,. Breakfast was very nice and plenty to choose from and the staff were very accommodating, the hotel overall was clean and nice. I did feel sorry for the staff on reception and in the bar as they must be getting lots of dissatisfied customers for things that are out of their control, but as a person that was a receptionist in a 4* hotel a few years ago I do feel that they could of avoided some of these issues by being more informative upon check in and sending guests an email advising that some of the facilities are not available and then we could of chosen a standard room rather than booking an executive room and not being able to access the lounge which was a reason to upgrade our room, or even of booked another hotel. Had we been aware that there was not a restaurant available we would of had our main meal somewhere else before arriving at the hotel and then we could of had snacks in the evening. This hotel in it current state to me is only good for a bed for the night, and we didn't want just that we wanted to give our grandson a nice experience and sadly this was not the experience that we wanted. If you're looking for a nice experience that book somewhere else but if you just want somewhere just to put your head down for the night and don't fancy the Premier Inn style accommodation that you will be happy here!…
We attended a concert at the Shepherds Bush Empire so was super pleased with the less than 30second walk! Comfortable double room with a huge bed! Slept well. Room was clean and loved the waterfall shower! Just be warned there is a £50 deposit when you check in which is then refunded when you leave on provision of course you leave the room intact. Took about 48hrs to come back into our account. Would have been nice to have known this prior to booking just as a warning at least. Bar/restaurant weren't open as the sign said April but to be honest there is plenty out and about to choose from when it comes to dinner and breakfast. Hotel staff were friendly and polite. Nearest parking is Westfield's and it's about a 10min walk from the hotel. Hotel do have a loading bay and will give you 10-20mins to unload luggage. Parking in Westfield's was £15 for 24hrs which I thought was reasonable.…
The below is a message i received from the hotel, unacceptably aggressive. i immediately cancelled and booked an alternative hotel. the message could have been worded so much better, but looking at the reviews its understandable they are paranoid about not being able to serve food or drinks due to COVID, ironically im sitting writing this in a restaurant where there appears to be no covid restrictions so why theyt cant serve breakfast seems illogical Please note that Dorsett Shepherds Bush is currently having NO breakfast facilities, NO Bar, NO Laundry Service on site. It will be a ROOM ONLY booking.
This was a great hotel to stay in and in a good location within easy reach of the main attractions we wanted to visit. The staff were very helpful during my stay. The only downside was that when I booked I had asked for our rooms to be either connected if possible or adjoining but seems this hadn’t been done prior to my arrival. The staff did their best to get two rooms close to each other and had rooms pretty much opposite. The rooms were of good size and included safe and iron/board which is pretty rare nowadays. One of the rooms had an issue with toilet and the hotel moved to another room without any fuss. There were amenities not available during our stay but I was aware of those before travel so could have cancelled if needed. Hotel was within walking distance of Westfield shopping centre and also a couple of tube stations and there was a bus running from outside that went along Oxford street to arrive at Piccadilly circus. Even with the minor issues I would still stay at this hotel again when travelling to London.…
Stayed here for 1 night last weekend, after the rugby at the Brentford ground and before lunch on Sunday at The River Cafe. Ideal location - tubes, black cabs + Ubers available easily. Quiet room, huge bed which was very comfy, regulated heating which was spot on temperature wise. Very clean en-suite + room. Would happily use again., £116.00 for a Saturday night. The staff were really helpful when i left my phone charger in the room and for a small fee they sent it first class and arrived 48hrs later. Great service - thank-you.
We stayed due to being in Shepherds Bush for a gig. We couldn't fault the Dorsett at all. The facilities were of a very high standard. The room was quiet and spacious with an excellent ensuite. The staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.
We booked a hotel room here because it was near the local hospital where I was due to have a C-section on the Tuesday. As my twins were premature, I had to have two steroid injections and rather than travelling back and forth we booked the hotel. However, my babies had different plans and on the Monday night my waters broke. Spectacularly. So firstly, I am really really sorry that I ruined the mattress. Secondly, the review, you were all really friendly and supportive despite the fact that a metaphorical tsunami damaged your room. My husband returned and tried to clear up as best as he could and I know the receptionist was really lovely and tried to refund us for the second night but he was in a rush to get back to the newborn babies. The room (before we got there) was clean, comfortable and a good size. We had good customer service and the location was good for what we needed. Thank you and sorry again.…
Our greeting, Anarou was great, was brilliant but the gym is not cleansed everyday or at least 3 days we were there it was nt cleaned the bin full and dirty towels not COVID friendly. Neha who responded to my husbands complaint was not great. So poorly managed it’s actually a lovely hotel perfect location you have everything you need the lack of cleanliness of gym let it down and the response from staff was awful. Parking is not available even though it says it is, so parked at Westfield 5 mins walk
