About the location is unbeatable, Buckingham Palace is 15 or 20 min. walk. It is a very basic hotel, just to sleep. Breakfast of the most basic also, but with London prices it is very grateful not to have breakfast outside. As for the staff, all Pakistanis or Hindus, I don't know, regular. When I arrived, they told me that the check was at 2:00 p.m. and since it was 12:30 p.m. they could not give me the room. I saw it normal and we told him that at 2:00 p.m. we were coming back. The case was that he told us that the room was prepared and that if we wanted it we already had to give him 10 pounds, of course since we saw that that was a small illegal extortion we said no, we expected. Seeing as we didn't fall into the trap gave us the room before. I tell you this so that no one falls into the trap. Another worker, the day before our march, asked if we could go in for breakfast 15 minutes before the time, as we had to leave very early at the airport and very unpleasantly told us no, that no way, so we entered at 08.00 h., time the dining room opened. We had to hurry up, and when we were sitting at the table drinking coffee he went into the dining room and in a very bad way looked at us very angry and threw away the toast we had in the toaster. I have travelled all over the world and in no hotel have I been disrespected in this way. Regular cleaning throwing to nil.

Only here for one night....
Did the job sleep wise, have no complaints except the plug socket on the top floor room 9 was hanging off and wasn't working so had to use plugs away from the bed.
Bathroom was fine, few bits of wear around the room but for 150 pound in Central London on a concert night we can't really complain.
Didn't take advantage of the breakfast so can't comment.

The hotel is in a really good area, only a five minute walk from the tube, bus station which is good, close to Warwick high street which has shops and places to eat. The hotel is ok considering it's a two star, the room was small and the bathroom was very small, the shower could have been cleaner and it took a long time for the water to get hot. The bed was comfy, the breakfast was ok but I would not pay extra for it, I think we would stay here again if it was only for one night just to have somewhere to sleep as it was a good price but I would prefer to stay in a three or four star next time.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the front of the hotel because we had a view of a brick wall.

Looking at the past reviews I think a lot of the rooms have been refurbished over the last couple of years. Our room was great, clean and tidy and looked reasonably new. TV worked, kettle worked, show worked and the water was HOT.
My only 'complaint' would be that the bedroom window did not lock and you could if you wanted to gain access from the flat roof outside.
Breakfast is basic but its a breakfast, self service, toast , cakes, cereal etc etc.
£140 for a room 15 mins walk from Hyde Park during concert season is good as far as we are concerned.

Liked · Was an excellent place, nice and quiet hotel just 7 mins from the tube and bus terminal, was clean and tidy, Couldn't ask for much more for the price, bed was comfortable, or through the room was smaller than it looked on the pictures. The staff was excellent, really nice and friendly. Most of our time we spend exploring London, so this is was perfect for a good night sleep.
Disliked · Little noise crept into the room from others and when water was on, no problem for me, but my friend thought it was too noisy. Breakfast needs an improvement, it won't cost that much to add some nice bread( bread was very wet and squished) and bread rolls, also need to top up cheeses.

My daughter (age 8) and I stayed at Oyo Bakers Hotel for one night, in a twin room with private facilities. We had travelled to London by coach to see a show. The hotel is in very easy reach of the coach station, and we were able to walk to the show from there too. The hotel is very well presented, clean and comfortable. The gentleman behind the reception desk was kind and courteous. The breakfast room was small but clean and there were a variety of breads, bagels, waffles etc on offer as well as cereals, fruit and meats/cheeses. Hot and cold drinks. We stayed in room 7 which is up several flights of stairs - not a problem for us but might be if you have a lot of luggage or mobility issues. The room itself was small but perfectly adequate, and nicely decorated.
Would definitely stay there again.

I booked a room 12 months ago for 12th July-14th July 2024 as I was running in the London 10k on the Sunday.
Today a week before (5th July 2024) after they took the full amount off my card for the stay 3rd July 2024 I get a missed call. When I return the call I get told that my reservation had been cancelled and I needed to find somewhere else to stay.
Week before. London prices sky rocket. No compensation.
Don't trust them!

I give one star because you can't give less. The best word for the room is "hovel". We slept in a "triple" room buried under the stairs. The carpet is filthy (and to say filthy is an understatement). Unworthy, unlivable room. For the short time we stayed I was terrified of touching the carpet with my feet, the bathroom was unseemly. The broken toilet seat with dirty toilet bottom. The shower with the drain that passes over the floor. And to think that we had also requested dignified treatment given that we were staying with a newborn. The unworthy breakfast with three disgusting things packaged inedible. We had paid for three nights but after two nights we left and had to look for another hotel. Stay away from this hovel.

We apologize for your recent experience at the OYO Bakers Hotel London Victoria. We appreciate you contacting us about your experience at the property with the room two floors up even if you request to have a lower room due to mobility, no hot water, there is no cable tv from day one, the toilet seat was hanging on the side and you found mousetraps in the basement were you had the breakfast and the air in the room was stagnant. I know that you're tired after a very long flight, and to your dismay, everything is messed up.
As soon as you alerted us to a problem, we took action right away. Please be aware that Booking.com does not tolerate this kind of behavior on the part of the accommodation. I contacted the hotel, as I really understand how inconvenient the situation is during your stay, and the property responded and informed us that they will not provide any compensation.

The tripple room in the basement (i was there a few months ago) has a very nice private bathroom.
Thank you for your email and interest in staying at Bakers Hotel.
It is possible to leave your luggage with us after your stay, up to midnight.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to contact a member of staff to assist in the use of the microwave oven, they would be most happy to help.
