First impression, not brilliant. Room was small but bed, bedding and ensuite were very clean and modern. We took advise from other comments we had read and went for breakfast early. The 'breakfast room' had 3 small tables if you weren't lucky enough to get one of them there was a 'summerhouse' outside which was used as an 'overflow'. We... More

Well, just like you all, I read all the other reviews before I booked the hotel but I am an experimental person so I like to try things. And honestly, It was rude how the people have exaggerated their reviews. I had very friendly staff and a very nice and comfortable room. Breakfast didn't have any sophistication but what could... Let's face it, if you are looking to stay here, it's because you're trying to save cash. There are plenty of hotels including good old Premier Inn very close by, so Baker's USP is that it's cheap. I got a bargain single room with shared showerroom access for an unheard of £47.50 pn on special offer. I suspect that's why... More

The room was very small but reasonably clean. The shower eventually had nice hot water after about 10 minutes. The bed was very uncomfortable. The breakfast was ok, but basic and there was an awkward employee standing in the middle of the kitchen watching people eat. Not the best.

This b and b was by far the worse place we stayed on our month long journey through Great Britain. The walls were very thin...noisy! The bed was terrible. The room was small, dirty and too hot. The breakfast room was awful...cold, chairs too small to sit in and dingy. The breakfast was a joke...we ended up not eating it... More

The location is good but that's pretty much the only plus point. Family on the 3rd room is tiny and the shared bathrooms don't stay clean very long ... However it's London after all and the rates are decent - for the City.

We stayed for a total of 3 days 2 nights. We came 2 months earlier to pay in cash with a receipt. However, when we arrived, the receptionnist kept asking for payment eventhough we told him we already paid cash. On our last day he told us he didn't have any trace of our payment and we had to show... More

Thank you for your comments. We do apologise that you did not have a good experience of staying with us, and on behalf of the team we apologise. The confusion appears to have surfaced as a result of a combination of several factors, it was a third party that paid on your behalf, a change of staff and poor records.... More

I was welcomed promptly and warmly by a young an who offered to call a taxi for my evening out. I spent a very comfortable night in a small, bright, clean, single room. There were tea making facilities, a hairdrier, sink, large mirror, clothes hanging space with hangers provided and a narrow table, TV with remote. This room was at... More

I stayed at this 12 room B&B along with my brother, his wife and two teen-aged grandchildren. We had three rooms for three nights so we had a good chance to observe. This is an inexpensive stay for London so we were not expecting an American style hotel. The rooms and baths are tiny. Some rooms are available without the... More

Staying in Pimlico

Neighborhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
