Room was quite small. Barely enough for opening a 29' suitcase. Air conditioning wasn't functional. A big mobile air conditioning was placed in room as alternative. It took lots of space and generated lots of noise at night. Except these two points, the rest was quite good, such as helpful and smiling staffs, speedy and friendly services, and gourmet breakfast.

I stayed here one night and regretted it completely. They even charged me for an additional night after I already checked out. First off, the front lobby is so much uglier in person than the photos show. There are Stairs you have to haul your luggage up.. the layout of this lobby makes no sense. When I arrive on the first floor instantly I smell paint. The walls have painters tape on them and I can tell painting and other renovations are taking place where I am staying. Wish they told me that because I hate paint smells.. Then I look down and the carpets are stained and horribly beaten up. The carpet looks super old and I can tell it’s seen many accidents. I get to my room and the room is way smaller than it looked in the photos and not very clean. Two pillows and two towels were provided, that’s it! The bathroom door nearly hits the toilet when you try to close it and the front/main door to my room swings right into the closet door because, well it’s that small. I can barely stand in this room because once you lay a suit case out and opened there isn’t any space left to walk in this room. It’s like they build this room to fit a double bed and that’s it. So I call the front desk and told them I wanted to cancel. The paint smell was already giving me a headache and the dirty carpets gave me chills. But the idea of staying in this jail cell of a room made me feel claustrophobic. The staff painting was going on. But they didn’t want me to cancel so they told me the reservation manager has to approve a cancellation in order for them to refund me my money back. Conveniently the manager wouldn’t be back in until the morning. I gave up for the night and I call them back in the morning because I was running on two hours of sleep from my international travels. When I call them that next morning the staff told me the manager was off all weekend. So I demanded they call the managers cell phone because I wasn’t going to stay here another night breathing in these fumes. Sure enough they wanted to show me a different room while we waited for the manager and said promised me it would be a bigger and better room it would be away from the fumes. So I go check out the room because I’m trying to stay positive, and sure enough it’s the same damn room!! Same size and everything and it’s on the second floor so of course I can still smell the paint coming from below! So after much arguing, the manager agreed to cancel my reservation and refund my money but even the manager tried to screw me over. He told his staff that I would have to pay for two nights even though I had only stayed one night and was checking out before 10am.. The manager claims they hold the right to charge guests for future nights unless you cancel a room the day prior. Which is complete BS because I tried to cancel the day before when I arrived but he wouldn’t answer. Moral of the story is don’t go here. I found a hotel in a nicer part of London for a cheaper price and you can too. This hotel is the worst I’ve ever stayed in and I’ve stayed at many in London before. Seriously- avoid this hotel!!

A nice hotel that is close to a tube station and to all major attractions in London. Staff are friendly, rooms are clean, the area is nice. I would be happy to consider it again for a future visit to London.

Firstly a huge thank you to Sangeeta on reception. She went out of her way to accommodate me after 24 hours flying and walking to the wrong hotel from the train station then back the correct hotel. Sangeeta let me stay in a quiet area with some breakfast and was able to arrange a room for early check in. The hotel is also part of the VIP Expedia which offered me a free upgrade to the room, unfortunately the suite was taken but I was given free breakfast during me stay (thank you!). The rooms are lovely but a little basic. I do wish a fridge was in the room so I could chill my water bottle overnight especially these summer months but also the safe to be at a much higher level than close to the floor in the closet. I'm not sure why but all the power sockets at the desk are screwed in at a weird angle and have to say its distracting in addition to the leg of the desk being too short meaning the desk is slopping which is a bit of a worry when boiling water, having tea on it or when using the desk to write. It's these little attention to details, that I couldn't give it 5 stars. I loved seeing that Fair Trade coffee, tea and sugar was provided. The buffet breakfast was lovely and everything was cooked well. The lovely lady with dark hair and the Polish accent was wonderful, and treated everyone with a smile on her face in a wonderful welcoming manner. she directed everyone on what is available and how to use it. I definitely will be coming back to this hotel for the customer service was the best it could have been.

We stayed at The Wesley in July last year because it is the closest to Euston Station and we needed to travel to Wimbledon quickly. The hotel staff are very welcoming, the rooms are very well presented and the continental breakfast is very good.
