We stayed at the Jesmond two times in January, and I would not go back. The second visit was already booked and non-refundable, hence the repeat. I was actually surprised at the high ratings this hotel received. Pros: Convenient location, rooms on garden-side are quiet. Friendly service. Instant coffee, kettle and tea provided in rooms. Good internet. Cons: No amenities.... More

My friend and I stayed here after my sister and parents stayed here on separate occasions in previous years. They raved about this accommodation; the service, the location, the amenities. My friend and I did not have the same experience and for us it was just okay. There is an older lady in reception who is rude and dismissive, particularly... More

Hotel jesmond is in a great location and on a quiet street. We loved being close to the British museum and the buses were right outside the hotel. The tube stations were a just a short walk. Rooms were small but was just fine as we didn't spend much time in them and great that they had usb ports to... More

This was the second time we stayed in the Jesmond Hotel, once again in room 4, a back room that is very quiet and comfortable. I would highly recommend this B and B on a number of counts: the hotel is extremely clean and well managed, the breakfasts are excellent, and the staff go out of their way to be... More

This was our second time staying at this conveniently located B & B hotel in the Bloomsbury section of London, as with last year, once again over the American Thanksgiving holiday -- and this time the experience was even better. Previously our family of four including two teenage boys found the quad room a bit tight for space, so this... More

We recently spent 10 days in London and stayed at this lovely B&B all of those nights. We cannot say enough good things about Jesmond Hotel. Breakfast was plentiful, the room comfortable and clean, great location, just a block from Goodge St tube station and London is at your feet! They did a load of laundry for us halfway through... Jesmond Hotel is one of a couple of the old family run hotels we have stayed in in Bloomsbury. They are fine buildings with spacious enough rooms. You may need to be able to climb stairs with your luggage but the place is very clean and attentive to it. The free WiFi quality is excellent and breakfast was good if... More

I just returned from an 8 night stay. The location was fantastic! I came in on the Eurostar and easily walked from the St. Pancras station to the hotel. I immediately went for a walk and Leicester Square, Trafalgar Square, National Gallery and Portrait Gallery, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, and the Embanquement with views of the London Eye were all... The convenience of the Bloomsbury location, the friendliness of the staff, the attractive and functional ensuite bathroom, the cleanliness of the hotel, and the very nice breakfasts outweighed the disadvantages of my cramped room (Number 5); it had a double bed and some nice amenities but the only place to place my suitcase was on the floor squeezed between the... Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
