Have stayed at the hotel a couple of times and it was awesome. Went to bar this time and had a great time for pre-dinner drinks up the road. Staff were great, service brilliant and setting is incredible. Love this place, wholly recommend for staying or a visit for drinks.

Rude staff. Weird atmosphere. Rubbish cocktails- really disappointing, wanted to go here but the staff were very unfriendly and slow, and the drinks were really bad. The general atmosphere was very uncomfortable. I would not go here again and would not recommend it if you want to feel welcomed

Booked Saturday afternoon tea for four of us in Oscars at the Charlotte Street Hotel. I am the fussiest eater, so I called them on Thursday night to check the choice of sandwiches. I asked if my favourite sandwich could be offered (I had this at their sister hotel – The Ham Yard) and a charming person called Felicity (I think) said she’d talk to chef and call me back Friday morning. “Yeah, right” I thought but not only did she call back but said the chef would be “delighted” to provide my sandwich choice. That was a great start and certainly exceeded expectations. When we arrived, the other 3, while less fussy than me still wanted to chop and change the sandwich menu. Enter restaurant manager Memunah who not only patiently listened to all the “don’t want this” and “can I have this instead” but then went back and forth to the kitchen to negotiate with the chef. They are my friends but by the end of the ordering I could quite happily have punched each of them on the nose, but Memunah was simply exceptional. She reduced the tensions, was always smiling and nothing was too much trouble. I haven’t mentioned the contents of the tea – beverages, sandwiches, scones and savoury pastries as they were almost incidental to the absolutely outstanding service we received from Memunah and her team (every one of whom was also excellent). In a way, a most wonderful afternoon was predicated on superb service with the food almost incidental. However, that would not be helpful for a review so pleased to report that the delicious sandwiches (almost bespoke in the end) were all freshly made, the scones light and warm and the savoury pastries very more-ish. We’re lucky enough to have had many enjoyable afternoon teas in excellent London venues but our tea at the Charlotte Street Hotel set a new benchmark and we can’t wait to return

We stayed for a long weekend as a family. It has been a couple of COVID years since we stayed. The hotel is still fab with a lively design and good atmosphere. The hotel is big enough to have all the facilities you need and small enough to be intimate. Service was uniformly good and friendly. The rooms pleasant and stylish and the food good. There were a couple of minor problems but all were resolved. All good
