We were meant to stay here and it just went to horrible to worse. As soon as you walk in you're hit by a smell that smells like a mixture between guinea pig feces and fish. The receptionist didn't even acknowledge us for the first five minutes and was really disorganised and rude! Then we couldn't get into the room... More

This place may look reasonably priced considering the location, but given the state of the room we were given, I would have to question this assumption. We were "upgraded" to a room with its own bathroom (saving us from sharing one with the other rooms on the floor). "Ok, fair enough," we thought. We weren't expecting much anyway. Then we... More

What can I say, this place is awful. As soon as we walked through the door it stunk of cigarette smoke. The room is very poorly lit, nowhere to hang clothes, a flimsy sheet and fleece blanket on the bed....which was very noisy and uncomfortable! So in January you can imagine how cold it is....the room was freezing too. No... More

Beyond awful! Not even a semi comfortable bed. Springs in your back. Grime in the shower. Not even a glass to wash your teeth. Sunken bed boards. This should not even be available to book on TripAdvisor or Booking.com. Worst hotel EVER.

Nothing good at all! Worst place ever!!!! Dirty, uncomfortable, disgusting! Should be illegal to have rooms on that conditions: floor looks that is going to give way, huge leak on the toilet ceiling (I've told by the receptionist to close the door of the bathroom to avoid the noise of the leak...), no blankets, window impossible to close, dust everywhere,... The room was a little basic and it was obvious that they had painted over mould, the bedroom furniture looked like it was second hand from an travelodge and badly put back together... Could hear the other guests when they closed their doors.. But we were only stopping for one night after a festival so wasn't bothered... An OK place... More

This place was a dive! But, it was cheap and in a great location. On arrival I was checked in and given a room key, and when I entered a poor lady was caught in a state of undress in the bathroom. I was highly embarrassed and went to reception and they gave me another room key. I panicked, being... More

I booked into the Berkeley Court Hotel but was moved to Alexandra Hotel, seems to be quite normal. It was a single room in paddington for £50... it was clean, had a single bed and a tv, a good shower, there really was nothing to complain about! It did exactly what it was supposed to! It is after all a... More

On a swealteringly hot afternoon, I lugged my heavy bags from Paddington Station into the lobby of this hotel and registered. Having done so, I was told that the ACTUAL Hotel I would be staying at was the Alexandra Hotel at 159/161 Sussuex Gardens. I therefore had to haul my suitcases about 1/4 mile to the other hotel. I was... More
