We are small people and have low expectations and that is a good thing. If we were tall or big and had high expectations the stay would have been disastrous. The rooms are so so so small....Great location and quiet enough for being so close to the train station. Awesome eateries and pubs close by in the residential area. And... More

The room I stayed in was the original kitchen and breakfast room on the ground floor. Access from the street was not secure and I remember waking up to finding someone trying the window. Handy for the tubes and buses, although the area itself can be intimidating and not one where you should set out in the evening unless really... More

We have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions and I think it is good value. The rooms and en suite facilities are not huge but perfectly adequate and are very clean. The rooms have laminate flooring and a TV, and there is a good shower with hot water. A good breakfast is included in the price and... More

I normally stay in another hotel unfortunately it was fully booked so I chose the European based on the photos and the location. The photographs must have been taken a long time ago. It is a VERY basic hotel. My room was a single. I have stayed in single rooms before but this was tiny. One cupboard had been turned... More

Good value for this area of London and an ideal choice if catching the Eurostar as only 5 minutes walk from St Pancras. Our room was small and basic as was the ensuite but clean. Comfortable beds and the room was at the back so very quiet at night. Slightly cool reception but then I guess not many people stay... More

Small but clean room, friendly staff, breakfast as advertised except for the watered down scrambled eggs. About what you'd expect for a budget hotel at £55/night. Conveniently close to St Pancras station. No surprises, pleasant or unpleasant. ..

I was guest in this hotel for one night. It was just disgusted!!! Hairs in the bed, dirty tables (I told the landlord there, but it wasn't clean after we went back to the hotel), dirty and mody bath room. The bath also was very tiny. When someone in the hotel was on toilet, you could hear everything. As I... More

Stayed at the European Hotel (B+B) overnight whilst in Central London for a concert. It's very basic, dated but very close to St Pancras/Kings Cross. Our twin room had 2 single beds and a very small bathroom. Although basic it is very cheap for Central London and if you just need a bed for the night it is fine. I... More

My room (single) was a little bit small but quiet and clean. Friendly staf (the receptionnist and also the night watchman and the cleaning woman) A very big positive point: they can keep your lugage for free when you left the hotel until you have to take your train back. So you can still enjoy the city without carriying your... More

perfect location for travelling around London, access to underground and buses was excellent. Hotel itself is simple but just what you need for a couple of nights in the city. Clean linen a hot shower and a decent cooked breakfast. Overall fairly average would stay again though if in London.

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
