Although the downstairs area is quite cool and great for socialising and hanging out, I didn't like the hostel. 1. It's obviously a money making scheme. You can only BUY hairdressers and towels? oh come on... who wants to buy a new hairdryer on a trip?? And the food is ridiculously overpriced, even in London, and not suited to a... More

Hello Zoe I, We are disappointed that we did not meet your expectations on this trip to London. Yes we sell hairdryers from our travelshop for £5, or we also have a hairdryer in each female bathroom. There is one locker for each bed, we are sorry to read that another guest in your room had taken your locker and... More

I don't want to recommand family tours. Every facilities is good but washing machine and dryer was out of order. If one person travels alone then it will be great. Near underground 'Russel square' and 'St. Pancras Kings station'. If you want to take a Eurostar then good location.

If you choose Generator for the image and brand don't expect that much from the London one. I expected lights in every bed and plugs to charge the phone for everybody in the 10-bed dormitory. The toilets and showers are good but there is no shelf to put your case while you shower. Maybe it's just an old one, it... More

Hi Michela G, We are disappointed that we did not meet your expectations. Currently we are unable to put more plug sockets in the rooms but we also have them around our seats in our reception, chill out rooms and cafe areas for guests to charge while relaxing in these areas. Your feedback has been shared with our team here... More

rooms are very clean and beds are comfortable. The design of the bunk beds is in a way that you won't face the person opposite your bed so it gives you some privacy. bathrooms are adequate but there could be more books for hanging clothes

The first thing we saw was a vintage photo booth and sooo cozy chill area. Yeah we loved it. Vintage and retro and just super cozy. The staff was great too. The only thing was that the rooms were little bit too small and it got a little bit crowded and hot on the evening cause the air conditioning wasnt... More

If I had not been to wombats or clink78 hostel I would have been really impressed. This hostel has the same modern features but lacks a kitchen. They charge you £1.50 for tea and you can not even buy one after 11pm. I felt like they were trying to squeeze extra money out of us. We got charged extra for... More

Hello Deric B, Apologies for a confusion surrounding breakfast, it is the same price whether purchased from reception or from the cafe so we are unsure what you were charged. Unfortunately our cafe is closed from 11pm which is why guests are unable to purchase hot beverages after this time. We have let our night managers know that the music... More

the room was smaller than I thought and the pictures. Also, the shower booths were too small which were on 5th floor. But staffs were nice and facilities were good too. It will be much better if rooms are more clean and large elevator.

Hey MinahLee, Thanks for sharing your feedback and ideas regarding the rooms and elevator. We would love to welcome you back again next time you... More

It's proximity to the Kings Cross and St Pancras International train stations is very handy. If you're planning to use The Tube quite a bit, this location gives you quick access to the most useful lines. This is also a nice/safe neighbourhood with plenty of cafes, grocery shops and pubs. We stayed in a private room with a private bathroom.... More

The hostel is very good, above the overall average of hostels I've been staying. It has small problems with a rude security and think all are English and know the customs of England. It was mine and my boyfriends first trip to London. I usually organize all of the hotel suggestions (since we tend to travel without set plans) and the Generator Hostels were on the top of my list for every city in Europe we could find one at. So needless to say, I was excited to show him this place. Unfortunately,... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
