Excellent small hotel and considering the location very reasonable, having previously lived opposite this hotel and worked in London it is an extremely expensive area. Room small but totally adequate. Bathroom very clean and nice to have complementary shampoo, shower gel etc. which you don't get in a lot of more expensive hotels. Breakfast was good and cooked to order....

Hotel in very good location. Found it to be very clean everywhere. Our room was down a small flight of stairs. It was more than adequate with a well equipped bathroom and a little terrace area to side. Bed very comfortable. A mirror in the actual bedroom would make a huge difference. We found the staff to be very welcoming,...

Very good location. The hotel is not built as an hotel but old town house. Thinwalled between the rooms and no elevator (which we had not observed before booking). We were there during winter time so we could not enjoy the very nice back garden. Breakfast was OK. Staff was excellent an also friendly. Linnen was nice. Maybe we had...

Room was clean and comfortable, microwave and fridge available should you want it. I slept really well. Didn't have breakfast as I have Coeliac disease and didn't want to fuss about checking whether gluten free was available, cross-contamination etc

The receptionist at the desk was a let down. One can overlook a lot but an unfriendly, non-smiling, unhelpful Receptionist can let down the whole team. I think he was East European. His English was not the best and his heart was not in the best place either. This Blue jumpered Receptionist is uptight and needs to loosen a bit...

Dear SDN, While it is entirely your right to share your feelings on your recent stay at Regency House Hotel, we find it regretful that you chose to personally target one of the receptionist, who works very hard to keep this place running, and it only takes a quick look through other travellers ‘reviews to see that the attitude you...

4 friends on our annual trip to the smoke! Very good location, very clean and welcoming. Just a few small points that would help we think. No seats in the room, only one mirror and that is in the small en suite. Breakfast good but not big enough tables for four people. We had an enjoyable stay but we feel...

I stayed here for one night with two friends for a theatre trip, in a triple room. The hotel is very clean and the staff very polite. The decor is very very traditional, so if modern is your style then this hotel won't be for you. Location is very good, easy walking distance to Oxford Street etc. The TV was...

One-night stay while we attended a football match. Check-in was easy - we'd prepaid for the room - and staff were efficient. The hotel's location means it's really convenient for Euston, and is within walking distance of the British Museum and other tourist traps. The room was clean and comfortable and had all we needed for our short stay. However,...

Stay in this 'hotel' for two nights......first night the male receptionist booked us in, there was confusion as to weather we had one night booked or two, although this was to no fault of his as our friends had booked one of the nights under their name..... Our room (no 12) was up several flights of stairs was tiny, bathroom...

Dear Sarah, Thank you for reviewing your recent stay at Regency House Hotel. I am sorry you found the room and bathroom on the small side, but glad you enjoyed the linen quality and complimentary bottles of water. We do not need to know what time our guests are having breakfast, but it is true we ask them for an...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
