We were on the top floor in room 15. There is no elevator. 59 steps to the top. Not a problem for us, but you should know. The room was clean with one king size bed and one twin size. The bathroom was the size of an airplane bathroom. Very, very small. There was a fridge with free bottles of... More

Captain's room was very nicely furnished. Only drawback a built-in double bed - great for one person, not so much if two people with one on the inside. Good English breakfast, delightful deck (unusual in a three-star) complete with gazebo with ceiling heat lamp (not needed in July). Would recommend it.

We were awoken to the sounds of mice digging in the waste bin. Hotel management said that it would be taken care of... The mice - not surprisingly - were still there the next day. It was obvious they had been there for some time as they were out during the day in broad daylight (and not particularly worried that... More

In a quite part of London close to tube (5 min walk) and main line rail stations. By London prices hotel was reasonable and did include breakfast. We booked for a Saturday night via a booking web site, the room we had was in the basement with one window looking out in to a very small court yard 4 to... More

Stayed here one night in a single room which was very small but amazingly equipped. Good quality bedding - 2 pillows - and good quality towels. I stayed in Room 9 overlooking the private garden and a view of trees.Decor may need a little updating but good value for the money. Included a decent breakfast and had coffee in the... More

This classy little hotel in the perfect neighborhood is one of a long string of beautiful historic row houses. The rooms were clean and comfortable and staff was friendly. We are a family of five and our room was quite spacious considering there was one double beds and three single beds. Free breakfast and free wifi. A little on the... More

And, if you're us, you will find them playing in your room. This attractive small hotel just a few blocks from the British Museum starts out positively, and then you discover that there is no lift, the breakfast room is in the basement and you have to sign up for a specific time to eat, the bathroom is tiny and... Hey! I can not recommend this hotel enough! It was amazing! The staff where incredible and accommodating. The rooms where comfortable and clean. The bathroom was quite small but there was a mirror in the room so it didn't matter. Breakfast cooked to order! We where met by fresh water bottles upon arrival. Beds comfortable. And the biggest plus; it's... More

hotel in good position in relation to central london and pretty cheap. Room 14 in cellar with access directly off the breakfast room very disappointing, they have spent a lot of money theming it to look like a ships cabin, but room only 2 metres wide and bed went right across end of room so getting in and out for... I have just spent four nights here. On arrival I went to reception. A young chap who could only just speak English greeted me. Breakfast is included he said. I mentioned my Gluten intolerance. He advised basically that I could eat everything from eggs to sausages to cornflakes and the hash browns. I didn't bother risking it as he didn't... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
